After reading the reviews I took a group to try Giovannis out. We were sorely disappointed. Service was slow. Food was marginal. We were looking for a new experience and what we learned was stick with what we know. Don't waste your money or time here.

For a great pizza in Beaverton, visit Giovanni's. The crust is a little thicker than others, but that just adds to the unique and outstanding flavor. And don't limit yourself to the pizza as they have other Italian food that is just as good. Great service and wonderful restaurant.

This is one of my favorite pizza places! Start with the pizza, but come back for their other italian dishes. The restaurant is small, and you can either dine in or take it to go. Not fancy by any means, just good food!

Giovanni's makes the best pizza in Beaverton hands down, in fact, they just might be the best in the Portland Metropolitan area. I love their thick crust, and their toppings are always very good. If I lived in Beaverton, I would go their for pizza every week.

I ordered a three-meat pizza from Giovanni's for take-out after reading the rave reviews, but was somewhat let down. The pizza was certainly large, and the crust was thick, making for a filling meal, but the flavor was lacking. The beef and sausage were almost indistinguishable from one another, the sauce was non-existent, and the cheese was flavorless.

Overall, the pizza was edible, and didn't taste BAD, but it is not something I would recommend unless you have a large group of very hungry people.

  • Pros: Free parking, Very filling
  • Cons: Not open late, no delivery, mediocre food, slightly expensive

I think this place has other things besides pizza, but we've never tried it. Our family has been going here just for pizza for 13 years. The crust is very thick, making it a full meal in itself. We've tried many varieties, and they're all good. What else can I say?

The drawbacks of this restaurant:

* They don't open until late afternoon, around 4 pm, I think, so you can only go here for dinner.

* Don't bother with the dinner salad. It's expensive, and all you'll get is a small plate of lettuce. Seriously.

* The building is pretty run-down. But maybe you are the kind of person who will think it has character.

This place has awesome Pizza, Only other Pizza that Compares is Nonna Emilia's in Aloha,

(Nonna's It has more cheese on it and is a little more greasy, but still good IMO)

Like others have said, this Place has been around for ever, and the reason isn't the Atmosphere, it's the FOOD, In the 80's I started going here, the place looked like a Old Soda Shop with the sparkle booths, and the service was from people who'd looked at you and you'd say to your self, I'm swearing they are saying "Here's your darn FOOD!" under their breath.

Back then Service was Crappy and Decor was Crappy.

However Food was AWESOME!

Not much has changed, the service is better, and the decor, well slightly better.

Don't go to this place if you want a flashy place with people running to your table every three seconds to see what you want.

WHY? Like others say they are busy with Takeout, Get a House Special, have it DOUBLE CUT (They cut pizza slices big here) and order it go go.

The reason this place has survived for over 30 years (I don't know how long they have been there) Isn't because of their Service or Decor, it's because the Food is AWESOME.

Call A head your Order, get it take out wait 20mins pick it up and you WON'T Be sorry.

The Pizza sauce has the right amount of spices, it's a thicker crust than normal, they put a generous amount of toppings, so even thought a large is like 22bucks it's well worth it..

And Unlike Large from Pizza Hut, it is a LARGE!

People who are concerned about decor, really don't belong in this place, But if you love food this is the place!

And after 30 or more years, with the Odd Decor it's obvious it works.

Thier Focus is on Food as all resturants should be.

Nonna Emilia's in Aloha (About 3miles West of This place is another great place to eat.)

  • Pros: Best Pizza and Italian food in town, Call Ahead and order TO-GO
  • Cons: If you want Ambience this is not the place, if you want good food this is it.

Went there in August 2006 for lunch. The place was pretty empty. More people getting take-out than eating in. It was also pretty outdated but that was okay-just more casual-like a pizza place, not an itailian resurant. The service was friendly and fast. Started with salad which was...plain, but fresh. I had the lasagna which I loved and will have to go back for. My sister had the pesto pasta which she thought was really good but not great. Place was clean. I liked it. I thought it was refreshing to go to a place that didn't try to be something they're not.

  • Pros: clean, casual, lasagna
  • Cons: plain, outdated

The service was good. The decor, come on it is a low priced restaurant. I would say it is better than a bunch of cheez set pieces like at the chain restaurants. The sauce tasted like green peppers which was more reminiscent of that served at a Baptist Church pasta dinner than what I'm used too. Did I mention that I grew up in St. Louis eating good Italian food.

The pizza on the other hand was pretty tasty. If you go get the Carbonara or the Pizza, leave the meat sauce to somebody else.
