Good Happy Hour in Beaverton? YES WAY!!
by HHLover
My girlfriend and I went to Stockpot Broiler last week after a friend of ours who works there finally got us off the beaten path to go visit her. We live almost in St. Johns, so it's not easy to get us on to Portland's "suburban side." Wow, we were missing out. Their HH menu is packed with good eats, probably about 10-15 choices, and well drinks less than $3?! On a golf course?! They've got a full bar, I think 5 or 6 beers on draft, and pretty damn good food. We ordered 4 HH plates, my lady had 2 cocktails and I had 2 drafts, and got out of there for less than $25. I know you can get $1 PBR anywhere in Portland, but for the view we had from our table (18th hole) and the overall feel of the place, I'm sold on this HH. In terms of it being far away, if you know how to navigate a freeway it really isn't that far from anything. 217 gets you there, and 5/405 to 26W coming from N Portland is a sure way. So our friend had just gotten off shift and wasn't our server, but the girl we had was super cool and totally attentive, and the other girls looked like they were happy to be there, sometimes an anomaly in Portland's service industry. It was pretty jammin when we were in there actually. The day HH is from 4-6, and they also do it from 9-close! I consider myself a HH enthusiast, and this one is totally worth the drive for what a great time we had. I think this may be one of Beaverton's best kept HH secrets from the suburb-shy Portlandites...shouldn't be though! Good times! Happy HH everyone!!
- Pros: cheap drinks/food, friendly staff
- Cons: why aren't you on your way here?!?!?!
The Stockpot is great!
by Portland503
My girlfriend and I have been here 3 or 4 times and we have had a great time each trip. The staff is friendly, and the scenery at Red Tail Golf course is beautiful. The food is also outstanding; everything I have ordered has been excellent. Try the lobster bisque!
- Pros: Service, food, atmosphere
- Cons: none
Average for the area
by missS
This used to be a great place (considering location) to have a nice, dressed up meal, posh service and great wine. The only thing that remains the same is the location.
Most of the patrons here have been eating here since the 1980's or 1990s and probably have fond memories of how they used to be: great. But not so much anymore.
It's not terrible, but for the price...it's just not worth it. Steaks are huge, but not tender. Food it tasty, but nothing out of this world or new/innovative.
- Pros: I've had worse
- Cons: I've had a lot lot better
Rude
by MartyH
I can't believe how rude the service was. Worst I've ever experienced. Tried to raise the issue with management but she was just as rude if not worse.
I won't be returning. Ever.
- Cons: Rude Service
Seafood Lovers, plan a date with Stockpot!!
by CaroleFagnn
The decor definitely fits the underlying theme, Seafood, Seafood, and more Seafood! The dining rooms are very intimate and set a romantic mood. This will remain one of my favorite fine dining establishments for years to come.
The food here is outstanding. Not once have I had my fish cooked wrong; White fish are perfectly prepared and not overdone, the salmon is perfectly cooked.
The wait staff is friendly and attentive, wine list is HUGE.
This is a great venue for a date or special occasion.
I keep trying to like this place.

The entrees are often wonderful, good enough that I'm ok with the steep pricing. But the dining room smells like cigarette smoke, and the reception staff can been snooty. For the most part, the servers are quite good. The location is convenient for me, and I keep wishing I to bring myself to be a regular....
Thank you Stockpot!

This has been one of my favorite spots for several years. I usually go there for dinner, but the lunch menu is also good. Sometimes they even have live music and outdoor barbecues.
Great food, very romantic

The stockpot is one best kept secrets of Portland!
We stumbled across it on accident during a visit and since moving here it has quickly become our favorite. Some people may find the location to be a little obscure, but once you get inside none of that matters. The staff is very helpful, the dining area is very romantic and the food is to die for!
- Pros: Great food, great service
- Cons: none
What a disappointment
by Anabel1
This used to be one of my favorite restaurants years ago. I don't know what happened, but last time we went there the food was absolutely terrible, all the way from appetizers, through main course to dessert. We were 6 people in the party so we got to try various things. Nothing was edible. Seafood was overcooked and steaks were of a very sub standard quality. One of the party ordered something from the menu that described the item as lobster. When the really bland piece of fish arrived, the explanation was that the fish was piached in lobster juice! What a rip-off! On top of that one in our party found sharp glass pieces in the salad and had to go to the emergency room with several cuts in the mouth. When the owner was contacted later there was no concern showed at all. And when the credit card bill was almost $200 not including any drinks, I was really steaming. I would never go back there again and in fact, I'll tell anybody who will listen not to eat here.
- Pros: Parking
- Cons: Food, service, value
Awesome!!!! Hidden treasure... shhh don't tell anyone!!

We live fairly close by and play golf here regularly. We decided to get drinks one night in the bar (vs the actual Stockpot Restaurant) after hitting golfballs one night. We were pleasantly surprised and have decided its our new favorite place. The service and drinks have always been excellent, but the food is outstanding. The guys always get the hamburger/cheeseburger and its come out perfectly cooked just the way they ask for it, every single time. The beef satay with asian coleslaw and onion rings with wasabi aioli are also great. The comment from the other reviewer about the golf clubs...well um last time I checked it was a golf course. I don't think this detracts from the great food or service. We haven't had a bad experience yet and we have been going about once a week.
