To Smartmama

by oregontoday

Please smartmama, contact the Gresham Police, Detective Bob Fay. He's hurt other women and we need your help. We can't do this alone. Your family and friends don't have to know you've talked to Detective Fay. Make the call, they're great people and he'll help if he's done anything to you. If he hasn't, still make the call and tell them what you know. Put an end to his reign of terror. Do it for his two little ones. They don't need to be around that kind of a person. The longer he's around them, the more corrupt, hurt, and messed up they'll be. Please, make the call. 503-618-2318

Autolink owner also owns other business "Rental Data" Beware!

by smartmamma

I know the owner perrsonaly as he is related to me (By marrige only). He is the biggest sleezy con artist there is. He screwed over his own family members & a close friend of mine who has a child in a wheel chair. I am glad to see they are out of business. Gresham is a lot nicer place w/out having to worry about how many more people they will hurt. This guy even offered me sexual favors in return for a free car! But beware...He has been employed over at Weston & several other dealerships in the pdx area. He also owns a company called Rental Data...You would rather live in a cardboard box then rent through him...There is a special spot for him in Hell! Thats the only comfort any of us can have...

Auto Link Was A Huge Mistake

by Kenpo93

To battle negative equity on my car, I came across Auto Link's seemingly attractive consignment program. They claim you set the price, they do all the work, and there was no profit for them except warranty, financing, and the $355 consignment fee. That wasn't the case. When I spoke with the consignment manager HE set the price (for less than I wanted to sell my car for), and when the paperwork came around it said anything above my consignment price was profit for Auto Link.

So much for only making money off the fee, warranty, and financing...

After one week I get a call stating a few people have looked at my car, no one test drove, but I should bring my price down $500. I said no. Auto Link was still sitting on $2000 of profit (which they called negotiation room), and with no test drives yet, there was no reason to come down. These phone updates occurred just about every week and they continually asked me to come down in price stating "most of their inventory sells within the first 30 days". Whatever.

After my 60 day consignment was coming to a close and I realized I had essentially wasted $355, I decided to come get my car after which a sales manager begged me to leave my car on the lot as he felt a deal would be struck soon. And it did. Auto Link sold my car and promised to payoff my car in 10 days. I watched my account like a hawk waiting to see my balance reduced to nothing, something I was really looking forward to.

Then the day after my car was scheduled to be paid off I received a phone call from an Auto Link sales manager. The company had closed its doors, and there were no funds to payoff my car. That's right. There were no funds to payoff my car. So I owe my bank $10,000 for a car that I no longer have. Auto Link's solution? A bogus letter saying "we're truly sorry", and I should dump all the responsibility on insurance companies which may or may not give me my money back.

I have no words to describe my hatred for Auto Link.

 • Pros: None. I hate this place.
 • Cons: Left me holding the bag for $10,000, rude staff, dishonest

Three words: Bait And Switch

by carmodygal

They have been selling the same car for 5 months. Only every time I show up to see it, the car "just sold".......total BS. This dealership reminds us all of why you should never buy a car at a used dealership if you can avoid it.

Buyers beware

 • Pros: you can test out your current car as you drive to the middle of nowhere to get to the dealership
 • Cons: oh i donno .... fraud?

**BUYER BEWARE OF AUTO LINK!!**

by LuckyNguyener

**BUYER BEWARE OF AUTO LINK!!**

We had an accepted offer on one at a local dealership, AUTOLINK. They are located in Gresham on Stark, South of Fairview. We put a deposit down with no expiration date. Both parties mutually agreed to come up with funds within a reasonable amount of time. While they were waiting for our funds to transfer they decided to sell it to someone else without even asking or telling us!! Actually the car salesman sent a Text message to my partners? cell phone saying "DO NOT GET THE LOAN." Mind you this is a very small loan which Autolink was aware that we didn't need in order to purchase the car. We simply just preferred to take out this loan to keep extra in savings.

You will save yourself a large headache! I have never met a man who could lie as well as he did. He should have said "I don?t know, let me speak to my boss." But he seemed to have a good and false answer for everything! The owner of the dealership seems to be dishonest, even though we didn't work with him personally. We could hear him talking very negatively about us in his "office." We should have known the first day when he walked by us and made a very rude comment regarding us like we weren?t even there.

Promises, contracts, and deposits were made. We were getting a very small loan for the car. They offered us a loan with 31% APR. After confronting Autolink (in Gresham) they used the excuse that since they offered us this (absolutely ridiculous) loan and we opted to go to USBANK (where we bank) that someone else could to buy the car. Again, never once was ever stated in any conversation or contract. This is kind of where morals and wanting to do everything you can earn business.

We were very nice to them under the circumstances but felt it was important for other consumers to beware before considering a vehicle from this dealership.

 • Pros: NOTHING AT ALL
 • Cons: Tricky Sales, Rude, Over priced, Lies, not Profession!

Total nightmare!!!!!!!!!

by lynseypdxda

From start to finish Autolink fulfilled every single stereotypical used car nightmare I could of ever imagined having. Rudeness, unprofessionalism, dishonesty...the list could go on and on. I walked out buying a car that was way overpriced because I was led to believe how "fantastic" the condition of the Jeep was. Three weeks later it was in the dealership needing $1,800.00 of repairs. We bought a engine and transmission warranty through them...and it is a total rip off and complete waste of good money. We only got $3,000.00 off of our trade-in because of "the huge mountain of work it needed" and when we came back to the dealership the very next day to sign a form...there was the car out on the lot with a sticker price of $11,000.00. Seriously, RUN do not walk away from this dealership!

 • Pros: Dateline NBC could do a nice special on there unethical BS
 • Cons: They don't dissapoint in this category..so many to chose from

I would not EVER give these rip off artists the time of day! We took our truck there under the idea they would sell it for us. HA! They tried to tell my husband is was worth waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay less than blue book value. This was a HUGE insult. I would really like to know why these people are still in business. I hope the other reviewer gets the police all over them!

Extremely Dishonest, Blatant Trickery

by lstahly

I feel like the owner of AutoLink lied to me and also another customer I know. I purchased my car from them (it had 10,000 miles on it). They told me the previous owner wanted another vehicle and there were no problems. Within 3 months I had to take it to a dealership. The dealership was great (Ron Tonkin), but informed me that the vehicle had be stolen and recovered, thus there was a bunch of damage going on I couldn't see. Ron Tonkin covered it under my warranty because they were super awesome, it wouldn't have been otherwise. I never would have bought it with potential problems (the knowledge that it had been stolen). That is against the law.

My friend went through AutoLink to sell his car. There it sat for 3 months until he tried to get it back (it was a very nice BMW). When he did try to retrieve the car, AutoLink told him that the car sold the day before. Right now he is now on the phone with the Troutdale Police because apparently an employee drove around his car without a license or insurance. Bottom line, his car is impounded and even though AutoLink said it was sold, they have not payed off the loan at the credit union.
