Going, going, gone
by riredale
My wife loved the Gorgonzolla burger, good atmosphere.
This location shut down the end of August 2008, too bad.
- Pros: atmosphere
- Cons: prices
never going back
by mamalopez
i have been to the Ram several times in the last year, and every single time i think that next time it HAS to be better. Then i go again and its much worse than the time before. thursday night, June 12th 2008, 4 of us arrived seperatly, 2 of us about 15 minutes before the others. We ordered food and drinks, then when the other 2 showed up we moved over to the corner pool table. 35 minutes later the server brought us waters and said he would be right back as i was in the middle of placing another drink order for a friend. another 10 minutes went by and we got our burgers (which were TERRIBLE) and the other 2 people that were with us hadnt ordered yet since the server never came back. another 20 minutes went by and finally the waiter returned stating,"oh, sorry, i forgot you guys were still here, thank god long island ice teas are $2.50 tonight". what? so he asks how everything was, we say bad, so he takes our plates and says he will be back. about 5 minutes later a girl drops off our bill and leaves. we wait another 20 minutes for him to come back to get change, and he never did. so we left the check on the table with NO TIP. we then went across the street to Manzana since none of us at our food at Ram and we were STARVING at this point and had the best tortilla soup you will find in Portland.
- Pros: nothing
- Cons: horrable service, bad food, really smokey
Great Atmosphere. Great Pool Tables. Great Beer.
by kirkosu
This place is way under-rated. I think that everyone who loves this place wants to keep it a secret so they refuse to write a good review. This place is beautiful. Right on the water. Great tvs and sport viewing. I love to play pool. They have nice tables. I love beer. They have quality beers and full bar. Do not listen to these other reviews. Maybe you will wait five extra minutes for your food, but all other aspects are unbeatable. I only hang out in the upper-bar-part of the place, so maybe the restaurant area is terrible or something? Go figure. And try this place out.
- Pros: Great atmosphere. Right on the water. Beers are flowing.
- Cons: All these other reviews...
Lake Oswego craft brewery and restaurant on the Willamette River features burgers, salads and seafood dishes in a sports-themed atmosphere.

In Short
Sports fans and young couples crowd into the booths of this restaurant's expansive dining room to munch on standards like salads, sandwiches, burgers, steaks and seafood. Upstairs, there's a big screen TV, pool tables and a dance floor. The drink menu includes unusual ales--like the chocolate cream stout--along with Portland favorites like Big Horn Hefeweizen and Buttface Amber Ale.
Burgers and fries OK, not much else
by adamson41
I went for lunch with a friend. She ordered the coconut shrimp and I got a burger and fries. Her first plate of shrimp was almost completely uncooked - the shrimp were gray and nearly raw. She very nicely informed the waitress, and a second plate came a few seconds later, nearly as raw. She sent it back again, giving up.
While this was going on, we ordered alcoholic beverages from the bar, and had to wait nearly 15 minutes for our drinks. Mind you, the place was not packed. We finished our first drink and when we ordered the second drink, the wait was even longer.
While the drinks and the burger and fries were OK, and they did try to make up for things by giving my friend a comped dessert, it was still a below-average experience and I will not be going back.
- Pros: Location, View
- Cons: Long Wait, Uncooked Shrimp
Needs an active manager

It is a sports bar, family dining place. Their prices recently went up 25% for things like a hamburer and fries, $7.50 okay, $9.50 you have to wonder. There was not enough staff to serve, or cook. There were plenty of emply tables, but a 40 minute wait? The girls trying to take names for the list and seat people tried hard, but without a manager to keep things organized, the evening became iritating. My wife and I went upsatairs to the pool room and bar and could not get a server, although three walked by. I finally went to the bar and immediately got a drink. It was chaos, but they weren't that busy. I've been here 25 times in 5 years, it's a nice location on the water. I will think twice about coming back. Too bad, it has a lot of potential, but it needs a manager.
- Pros: on the water, IPA beer
- Cons: food, price, service
Try it again!

Quite a few of the reviews here are old. I can only speak to the last couple of years. I've probably dined here 15 times over that period, always had good service, always really enjoyed the food and sports bar ambience. Great place to take the family to, a) eat while watching a sporting event or, b) sit outside (down on the river is best) and enjoy the view. My last waiter carried large glasses of beer on his head to his tables. Very impressive! :) Make reservations if you want to sit on the dock.
- Pros: ambience, price, menu
- Cons: none
I love it!

David was great! the guy is amazing. After a great dinner (the fish tacos on the seasonal menu) and drinks that were perfect, we went upstairs where Emilia helped us have a good time. With the DJ playing in the corner and the house music thumping in my ears we partyied until 1:30 and we left when there was still people coming in. Awesome deck and great food
- Pros: Servers, Food, Ambience
- Cons: , No advertisements

Horrible service on two visits. I wonder if the food is good when it is warm? What a neat location for such a nasty restaurant. Don't waste your time...get some KFC and go sit on the grass on the river side of the restaurant. At least you won't have to put up with bad service...
- Pros: great location, nice facility
- Cons: , bad, old, dry food
bad, bad Ram
by pdxreviewer
Worst service up or down. They not only forget your order, they also mix it up, then don't apologize. Too bad, cause it is a great location, especially during the summer.
The food is sub standard, but I've had worse, and would go back if the service was acceptable. The staff is down right rude, and then you'll get a nice one with 1/2 a brain cell. Go figure, Lake O is full of hype. Bring back the Pointe!
- Pros: view, location
- Cons: , food, service
