The Chevy's chain has been kissing the zenith of cuisine for a few years but this location was always just ok for me, and I think a lot of other folks just wanted to eat there for business lunch too, becuase, when I looked around....there...were lots and lots of people. But after my meal there I'll probably be back so often that that I'll forget everything I've ever learned in English and begin spontaneously speaking in Spanish, Yucatan Peninsula dialect. Nothing against the service, though sadly, they wouldn't let me have anything against them. My waitress was top notch, and what came out on my plate was, to quote old time slang "putting on the dog". I ordered the super cinco which is supposed to be five meat dishes. Actually, it's 4 and a chile relleno, which has cheese in it, not meat. On my first bite, the port tamale tasted off, but then I realized it wasn't a Port tamale, but a PORK tamale....then, realizing I should dial my taste buds for Pork, not port, it started to begin to taste A w e s o m e, no wait, g l o r i o u s l y a w e s o m e. Only excellent pork has that real....um...porky taste. I moved on to the carne asada taco because I was hungry, not even noticing that it's not carne asada but a crispy beef taco like it says on the menu. The big chucks of steak were ...actually chunks, but they were so flabby that my teeth couldnt possibly cut through them. How flab can be so tough that it hurt my teeth kind of says I should lay off tamales made with port instead of pork, so I gave up complaining and realized it was all pretty tasty. I thought about complaining in general, but I realized if the manager came out later and comped my entree which is good, it would make me guilty to write a negative review, so I didn't go negative. I could also say the salsa had no flavor, but after all I ate, it wouldn't make sense to complain and keep eating away even at the salsa, so I didn't. Chevy's is gone. Pros: Wayne Gretzky, Micheal Jordan

Cons: Al Capone, O J Simpson

Food was good but what I was most impressed with was how clean this place was. We've been out to eat often but when we had a baby and started using high chairs we found ourselves very dissapointed. If you really want to know how clean a restaurant is, check out the highchairs the kids have to sit in. We figured it was just a given that you had to bring something to clean the highchair with before allowing your child to get in it. Other places appear to NEVER clean the highchairs. They have food and dirt all over them from top to bottom not to mention they are often times falling apart with chunks out of the wood frame?? We walked into Chevy's and they grabbed a highchair from a stack of others that all had saran wrap over the top of them. They bring it to your table this way, remove the wrap and underneath is a very clean place for your child to sit and eat. So many other places need to get a clue with this. I think from now on I won't be embarassed to ask someone to come and clean a highchair when were handed a filthy chair for my child. Then I just may ask to speak to a manager as well and suggest that they do as Chevy's does. I guess there are to many places out there that consider kids second class and think nothing of them having to sit and eat in filth. Thanks Chevy's for being a leader in this area. We will be back just because of this even though we could eat for better prices elsewhere.

Pros: Very clean

Cons: Priced a little on the high side

The Chevy's chain has been scraping the bottom for a few years but this location was always solid for me, and I think a lot of other folks liked it too. Judging by the crowds. But after my meal there tonite I won't be back. Nothing against the service. My waitress was top notch but what came out on my plate was dogmeat. I ordered the super cinco which is supposed to be five meat dishes. On my first bite, the port tamale tasted off then "off" began to taste r a n c i d. Only bad pork has that really nasty pungent taste. I moved on to the carne asada taco because I was hungry, The big chucks of steak were so flabby that my teeth couldnt possibly cut through them. i gave up and told the waitress who apologized profusely and brought me out a flauta. (a little better but the chicken still tasted canned) The manager came out later and comped my entree which is good but what I really wanted was the old flavor of the place. That Chevyy's used to be really good. Even the salsa had no flavor. Chevy's is gone.

Pros: Nice servers

Cons: Low quality food, meats are terrible, salsa has no flavor. Chips are stale

This Tex-Mex place has plenty of options, but isn't too authentic. Fresh salsa tastes great, being made fresh all day. While the meals are a little spendy for Mexican food, the choices are plenty. The atmosphere is very rustic, like tables in a Texas barn. But, families would like it. I recommend the tortilla soup, but be careful, it has a mighty "corn" taste to it. Also, the Chevy's Super Cinco is a great plate, with 5 different items. I call it "Chevy's Gut Buster". Good flavors do cost a little, but what doesn't. I recommend Chevy's Tex Mex.

Pros: Great salsa, great flavors!

Cons: Too expensive for normal Mexican food!!

I have had great service at almost every visit to a Chevy's. The food is great especially the chips and salsa they are fresh and you can tell. Get the mixed grill it is wonderful.

Pros: Good chips and salsa

Cons: Tables and chairs are a little uncomfortable.
