Chillin'

The smoking ban was a great improvement on this place. It is a great bar for the younger crowd as it often gets hoppin'. The happy hour is every weekday from 3:30-6:00 that sports $1.50 well drinks and discounts on certain beers. Tuesday is their taco night where $1.00 will get you a couple. I must say, they are good.

The wait staff is very friendly for the most part. They often recognize me from past visits and make me feel welcome. One warning is that there is a fellow named Dan who looks like Sloth from 'The Goonies,' who is just plain rude and should be avoided. Take my advice on this and thank me later.

The drinks they pour are great. I have not had too many of the entrees, but the ones that I have had were good stuff.

They have several pool tables and believe that they may be free on a certain day of the week. It is also one of the few bars I know of that have a foosball table.

Friday and Saturday nights are the place to be for nightlife in the area. This is especially true if you are a guy who wears those spray-on jeans, a huge full-print hoody with the hood pulled over your head while indoors with a hat to the side.

This is also a good place to see UFC fights and sporting events. They often have drink specials during these times. Just be sure to have your ID with you as you will be sought out by a bouncer as if fired on by a heat-seeking missle when you come though the door.

• Cons: A little spendy for what you get that is not on special

Good...could be great.

I can't wait until January ('09) when this place will finally be smoke free. I haven't been there in a while due to the excessive smoke, but when I was there last I enjoyed everything about the place. Great beer, food, and staff. If you're a smoker you'll probably love it. If you're not a smoker (like the majority of Oregonians!) it will probably make you sick before you can spend a dime.

I will return in January to reassess...hopefully I can provide a review with 5 stars.

Smokers, prepare for your trip out of our bars and into the OCI.

ok, so like the first time i went there it was really my fault i was so intoxicated, but really its their fault, they marked my hand with a sharpie pen, like what the hell is that? what happened to stamps? i threw a stink from what my friend tells me!! not to sure but i got kicked out... so i went back many many months later, yes there were alot smokers but hey its a bar and i smoke.. ok so some kid was like in the bathroom for like two hours dry heaving, so why didnt they call a damn ambulance? major sign of alcohol poisioning! and right when i walked in they asked for my i.D.like i really want to be harrased the second i walk into a joint that is a straight pub! this aint no dance club man! well the people are pretty awesome easy place to hook up and find mates, its great ya and if your reading this you know who you are! and the drinks are well worth the price so maye i should raise the rating?? well na because ive got hard feelings from the past!

My Great local bar

Skyland pub is a clean warm environment for any occasion. they have great food and good drinks. they have a great staff(tip them). the weekends are filled with a good vibe and many people as well as the weekdays. they also have good breakfast specials !

Didn't stay...

While they do have an extensive menu, I couldn't stand the thick secondhand smoke. Was only in the place for about 3 minutes, but had to take a shower when I got home to get the smell off of me. When I go out to eat, I prefer not to come home smelling like an ashtray.
