You say "benwa," I say "benoyt," but let's not call the whole thing off.

In Short
Fred and Mary Benoit opened Chateau Benoit in 1979, planting grapes for Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Riesling and Muller-Thurgau. In November 1999, the Benoits sold the winery to Columbia Empire Farms, a local agricultural firm. The winery still offers a wide range of varietals. Best bets are the Pinot Noir Reserve, the consistently pleasant Muller-Thurgau, and Sweet Sophia and Sweet Marie--dessert wines made from late-harvested Riesling and Gewurztraminer.
