Best Winery In Oregon !!!

by wineislife45

Just got back from Oregon. This is my first time going to Oregon wine country, but not my last. The staff was amazing, and helpful. Although the wine is high priced it is worth it! Take the tour and you'll see everything and learn about everything they do to produce the best quality wine in the Willamette Valley!

  • Pros: friendly & educated staff, the wine is heavenly!, great parking, wonderful membership program
  • Cons: I live too far away, I don't see a con to this winery at all!

Rude customer service

by jwright72_2000

2nd time touring Oregon wine country, first time going into Archery Summit Winery....will not go in there again. Rude, or you could say non-existent customer service. We were not even acknowledged even after walking in and standing directly in front of the counter. Had to ask the woman before the counter which wines were available for tasting, and it was completely clear to all of us that she was more focused on making her commission for the day helping another couple. Not a good experience, wouldn't recommend it. Snooty atmosphere.

  • Pros: Nice view from top of hill
  • Cons: not friendly

Wine making on a grander scale than most.

by Contributor

In Short
Archery Summit is a rarity in many ways, not the least of which is that it's sizable Oregon investment of Napa Valley winery Pine Ridge. Whereas most Oregon wineries are small, homegrown operations often run on a shoestring, Archery Summit sprang up seemingly overnight in a grand style. The winery itself is a marvel, designed to feed grapes, must and wine from the crush pad to the bottling line by gravity flow, avoiding the use of pumps.

Beautiful setting, paying for real estate, not good wine

by shaft28

I've been to Archery Summit 3 times and have concluded it just isn't worth it. My second experience there with a group of 9, we had called to explain we'd be 45 minutes late to the tour and were rudely scolded by their snooty French server who was just horrible. This past weekend we went $15 for tasting (double anywhere else in the valley) and $60 for the wine which frankly was just not that good. I wouldn't have bought it for $30.

It does have a beautiful setting, the facility is very nice and some of the staff are helpfull but overall not worth the $$.

  • Pros: beautiful facility
  • Cons: way too expensive for everything

Beautiful !!

by dcbwine

Very cool winery! You need to make an appointment. The facility is clean and very interesting to tour. Winemaker: Sam Tanahill has spent time(lived) in Burgundy and seems to have mastered the Gravity-Fed system of making Burgundy style pinots. Try the Redhills Pinots and the Arcus. Barrel tastings available.

  • Pros: Great wines!!, Great facility, Cool people
  • Cons: Expensive to buy
