This store is large and has lots of neat pet products inside. The birds in residence are taken care of well. The fish tanks are clean and uncrowded. The staff seem very friendly and helpful. If this store were closer, I would visit more often.

Pros: Lots of high end pet products, friendly staff, large store

Cons: Only high end products, not much selection livestock wise

I will never go to the mega store again! Pet Loft has friendly staff that are very knowledgable about the products they carry, and are happy to help you choose the best one for your particular pet and budget. They honestly don't mind taking 20 min. to talk to you about the different brands of food they carry; they're also happy to give out free samples so your pet can taste-test a new food before you buy it. This is a must for those of us with finicky eaters! And they only carry high-quality foods, so unlike shopping at the big chains you know that no matter what you buy it will be good. I prefer to support local business whenever possible, and Pet Loft makes that easy. They carry a lot of brands the big stores don't, and their prices are competitive (especially if you make use of their bulk discount and frequent-buyer cards). Pets are always welcome, with their humans on leashes of course. Our dogs love to go in there, smell everything, get fussed over and given treats.

Pros: service, selection, locally-owned

Cons: some items are a bit more expensive than at the chain stores

I have never come across a pet supply store that has a more knowledgeable or friendly staff. The staff is always friendly and very helpful. They have helped me find everything from the right training collar and leash to the right chew for our dog and have no problem taking the time out to help. They have an excellent selection of premium dog foods and treats. I find that their selection on everything is outstanding and they do not carry junk so you know what you are buying is a quality product. I think that their prices are very competitive, and you are supporting a locally owned business. I don’t shop anywhere else!

Pros: Friendly staff, great selection.

Cons: None.

Ignore the big guys if you can help it. Friendly, helpful staff. 10% discount if you buy 5 bags of dogfood at a time (as I do) and they'll help you load it into the car!

This pet store isn't that close to where I live but I go out of my way to stop there. They have a great selection of products. I know I can always find good, quality products and the latest stuff out on the market. And if they don't have it, they will order it for you. I went there last week because I knew they would help me find and fit just the right rain coats for my 2 labs (who were really over excited by all the treats). Their staff is so helpful, knowledgeable and kind. I highly recommend them.

Pros: Very clean, well organized, good selection, helpful staff.

We just got a puppy and the folks at Pet Loft have been more than just helpful. On more than one occassion we've talked with them for 20-30 minutes - great advice which has worked out for us. Prices are comperable for the most part. Plus the place doesn't reek like the mega store does.

Forget the big chain stores. The folks at Pet Loft are very knowledgable, and they really provide some of the best customer service out there. We have 2 big dogs, and we can not thank them enough for all of the advice they have given us over the years. We won't go anywhere else. Sure, some of their prices may be a (small) tad higher than the mega-strip mall shops out there, but the service and the advice you get more than make up for it.
