the ONLY shoe store for kids in portand!
by lisasmama at Citysearch
Forget Nordstrom...you have to check this store out for the absolute COOLEST shoes for your baby! I've never seen such a vast selection of unique footwear for babies. Great accessories too. The staff went above and beyond in finding the perfect pair of shoes for my daughter (all right the perfect THREE pairs of shoes). I even found a pair of NAOT shoes for myself! Make sure to check out their yearly sale...up to 50% on all their inventory!
- Pros: huge selection of cool baby shoes
- Cons: limited parking
Nice local kiddy shop, high price, min. inventory.

Minimal selection, overpriced, a local Yuppiedumb shop, go online or Kmart for better quality. The current economy will most likely end this operation. Sorry, but that is just the way it is.
Great customer service and shoes selections

I was an out of towner happened to be in the area. Love this place!!! The store has so many selections for both my son and daughter. Although the price is a little bit on the higher end for kids' shoes, the staff's friendly service and the shoes' quality sure offset that.

The staff at Haggis McBaggis have gone above & beyond to fit my daughter in the perfect shoes and they always have something fun & funky for her to feel special - thank you for offering an alternative to 'boring' for our kids in Portland.
- Pros: funk, fun, specialized attention
- Cons: too far away, open in Portland!

This is a wonderful example of what a small buisness should be like. The staff is attentive and knowledgeable, the store is bright and well stocked and the atmosphere is fun and light. I stop in every month or so to pick up gifts for newborns and shoes for my kids. I even get my birthday and christmas gifts here. They have a wonderful and unique selection.
- Pros: Atmosphere, Unique selection, Knowledgeable staff
a cool place for kids

Today I was lucky enough to make my annual trip to Haggis for my son's shoes, it's a treat to go there. What wonderful people, the staff truly cares about the comfort of your child--not only in shoe size but the experience of buying the shoes. My very first visit there took two hours, not because they are slow...it just is a nice place to hang out with your kid and look at shoes. Some may find their prices high, but because they have such incredible customer service I feel the extra price is worth it. I would rather spend the money on a more expensive pair of shoes knowing they have sized him correctly and taken the time to really help us chose the best shoe for his needs.
It is one of the best stores in Portland, in my humble opinion!
- Pros: They like kids!, Original attire, Smart staff
The most kid-loving store ever

I have become a regular of this fantastic kid's store in Westmoreland (Portland). This is the only children's store where I feel the staff truly likes my kids. They are so helpful and friendly, and their shoes and clothes and hats and toys all have that wonderful, quirky sensibility that says: these folks LOVE kids. The whole store is set up to let me shop while my seven and three year old are content.
It's the only store my kids get excited about going to. Doesn't that say it all?
- Pros: Great Prices, Fabulous Shoes, Customer Service

In Short
Focused on footwear but also dabbling in snappy diaper bags and other gear, the inventory of high-quality footwear is stocked heavily with Aster and Primigi brands. Beyond the tiny shoes, parents can pick up adult-sized kicks for themselves at the store's rear. The miniscule store claims to be the largest U.S. seller of the immensely popular Robeez, adorable Canadian-made slippers that infants can't pull off and well-wishers can't stop giving at baby showers.
