The Box has always had a great Reuben, as well as other items on the menu - The new LCD TVs are fantastic. There are enough that there isn't a bad seat in the house. No matter where you are sitting you're looking at a screen, more often, a few - The no-smoke atmosphere is a blessing for us non-smokers. For those that like to partake, there is an awning outside, along with some tables and benches. More bars should take a look at the Skybox and realize that people don't quit coming in, because a no smoking policy is enforced, if anything, it brings in more customers - A+++ for the Skybox!
Pros: Good fun place to have a beer and a bite to eat, while watching the game.
Cons: Parking can be an issue, but the walk is worth it.

I've been going the Skybox for the past few years. I find the staff to be very friendly and attentive. The beer selection is great and it seems that the Red Sox win everytime I go! I don't smell like an ashtray when I leave and I enjoy seeing a place that's kid friendly. They've got 18 sets so you're gonna get your game on at least one of them if not two or three... I bet you could get the Muppets on Ice on a set if you asked nicely.
Pros: No smoking, kid friendly, great beer selection, 18 HD sets... Nice patrons and staff
Cons: Too much Yankee gear on the walls.

BuffetCertified is right on. We hadn't been at the SB for a while and were pleasantly surprised at the changes. The TVs are plentiful and the waitstaff is much more cheerful and professional than in the past. I liked the healthy menu choices; warmed chicken breast on my Caesar salad showed nice attention to detail. Even for the less than rabid sports fan this is a great little spot to enjoy a beer and a bite.

New, giant HD televisions everywhere (there have to be at least 15) ...and they've finally ditched the staff with attitude problems! The Skybox now has more going for it than just "character," it's a top-notch spot to watch the sport of your choice. Oh , and the giant Shaq/Jordan love-child thing in the corner is truly a landmark!
Pros: High Def Televisions, beer selection

I've been to the Skybox many a times, usually out of necessity. It has character, outside seating, and is relatively bright for a sports bar. However, the service is usually pretty bad. The waitress, who appears to the the owners wife, does not seem real interested in serving the patrons or being polite for that matter. If you go, plan on going up to the bar for every drink and your food. The Cheeful Tortoise has moderately better service and much better food. If you go to the Skybox be prepared to walk out if you haven't been served within 15 minutes.
Pros: Atmosphere
Cons: Service

Kind of an old school sports bar that has somewhat updated to accomidate patrons. Not packed, a bunch of different games on and no smoke which is real nice. The food is greasy pub food. Nothing spectacular but the burgers are pretty decent. Usually just the bartender and one cook - who under the circumstances serve you pretty quickly. Clean taps so the beer is good, fine selection too. Good local spot or place to get off the beaten path (and take over the place if you had 8 friends with you). Owner is a nice guy, always friendly and happy to have your business.

Off the beaten path, Non-Smoking, Family friendly, Tons of screens, True Sports Fan ownership, friendly. Artery clogging sports bar menu. Try the Banger Mash or Mash Banger or whatever it's called. Highly freakin' recommended.
Pros: It's all good.

Pretty good overall... Nothing too special though. Kinda turned off the past few visits due to grumpy waitstaff.

If you are looking for friendly and attentice service, sports galore and a menu that puts most sports bars to shame, SkyBox is the place. No pretense here. Just exactly what you want on a Monday...or Saturday...or any day between.

Seems to me, that every single member of the staff should know how to peruse the channels, especially the sports channels. The bartender had no idea how to change the channel/ use the remote and said "The guy who knows how to will be here soon." I waited a half an hour before I finally left. I came all the way there specifically to watch the game and my time was treated as though it had no worth. A beer while I was waiting for "The Guy" should have been paid for. I'm still trying to figure out why I left a 1$ tip for the one beer I had. Note to all future sports bar managers, train all staff on TV channel changing on Day One!!!! I will never return to this bar, unless I get a coupon worth "good service, guaranteed"
