Good strip club

The Acropolis is worth the trip. The food and beer are really good prices. The ribs aren't that great, but they are cheap. The girls are typical of Portland strip clubs. Not fantastic but pretty good. Go before 5:30 to avoid the cover charge.

• Pros: What the food may lack in quality it makes up for in quantity
• Cons: If you are a fussy neat freak who is above the rest of the rif-raf, maybe not to your liking.

This place is great!

From some of the other posts I was expecting the steaks to be poor quality, but they are good...about equal in quality to the big steak chain places, and way better than the steaks offered at the big chain non-steak house places. The price, of course, is way lower. The beer is not rip off priced. The girls are not amazing - but none of them were ugly. There is a real blue collar vibe here.

• Pros: food is good, no rip off drink prices, girls are above avg.

Clean the place up

If they would go by the book and clean the kitchen once in a while and clean out a container before putting new food in it. I would love it because they are one of the only places left around that serve gyro's with the real meat.. Too bad they dont take better care of there food because it is good food, it 's just the neglect of what the cooks do to it after the owner brings it in..The service is horrible all the waitress are always getting high or drunk and dont come around or check back with you. What happen to the good old days when the old main crew used to work there about 10 years ago.. Those were the day when you got the best service the best food and the best looking dancers that actually put on a show and danced!!!

dancers? Get real

I have been to alot of strip clubs and was a dancer back in back in the day. I can't call these girls dancers. Some of them are very pretty and one has the greatest butt I have ever seen, but all she did was walk around flexing her butt cheeks and spanking herself. I really would have liked to see the girls dance but the 3 or 4 we saw while there never took to the pole even once. Too bad. If you are an older asian man or a college student you will like this place. If you want to see girls with real breasts that actually dance, go on down the road. But don't stop at blush!

are you kidding me? this is a highly rated place? are the owners writing these things?

OK, so maybe if your out with college buddies, while in college, and don't have that much money to spend on a slab of "almost" food while looking at some bad b**b jobs, and don't mind getting your own drinks and cleaning off a place to sit from the pile of cheese fries that almost made it into someones mouth.... than this is the place for you. I was there 20 minutes and wasn't even able to get a drink at the bar the line was so long, much less anything else enjoyable.

if you want comfortable place to sit, semi clean, a place that brings you a drink etc... well, look elsewhere else, and save the gas money to tip the dancers

Best steaks in town and most aesthetically pleasing stripper chicks of any club!

If you're looking for exceptional American cuisine and a huge selection of beers on tap and exceptionally beautiful and athletic stripper chicks, then this is definitely the spot. The Acrop has the best steaks in town at the best prices, too! Can you believe it? They serve beef that is of a much higher quality than the beef served in every one of Portland's high-class dining establishments in the downtown area; I've been to all them. And they charge next to nothing for these delicious steaks. There's also an actual salad bar for those that are concerned about longevity and preserving their health--I've never met a steak-eater that was as physically as strong as me... but occasionally I do eat a steak or two just to experience what a typical fat Oregonian eats. And the girls at this place.... they actually rival all the other strippers at most of the other Portland strip clubs in terms of sheer physical beauty; and some of them look like they actually exercise and do a little weight training. That's always a nice touch!

• Pros: courteous and professional staff; superior food and drink at good prices!
• Cons: small venue... sometimes there's not enough room to move around...

Unbelievable

I went to acropolis becasuse it was my 21st and i have heard nothing but good things, When i got there there was a # dollar cover, No girls, No music and hardly any people. There were nothing but games, Expensive drinks and the people who were there were drunk idiots. I might try it again but i doubt it... It's not worth the drive.

• Cons: Its far from home, no lights and no loud music, only 1 or 2 girls but not dancing

The people that work here - make this place the #1 exotic stop.

Seriously here :). I won't cut down other places, but nothing can put a damper on your night more than a slow, crabby server. You won't get that here. The ladies that serve the drinks (and A+ steaks/food) here are really 'kick in the ### fun' people. Sadly :) they know me by name now - or wait ... who cares .. they rock.

Special mention for Troy at the front - a bouncer that actually is not an a-hole! Really cool guy - sets the tone right off the bat .. then there is Alex serving tables .... she is sharp as a tack, witty and always makes us laugh. A+

All other things being equal - the employees that remain clothed are what really make the Acropolis the best exotic club in Portland. Not that I have a problem with unclothed women taking my $ bills, but they'd be nice to me if I were Captain Pike drooling, with two beeps for 'yes.'

Server/bouncer staff being so fun, and family-like - that is unusual for a 'strip bar'. Go! Have fun.

• Pros: Staff - the best; everyone there raves about their steaks; I had a great Turkey Club + Pabst :)
• Cons: I'd probably pass on the open salad bar lol - surprised they still exist anywhere.

AVOID!!!

Horrible service. Five friends and I waited two hours before a waitress came to take our order. Dancers are all 40+ years old.

• Cons: Horrible Service. Old dancers. Food tastes horrible.

Had a blast

My husband and I have been going to Acropolis for a break from our pedestrian life as parents of small children. We have had an absolute blast there each time--have never ordered food, we go to dinner elsewhere and then to Acropolis for entertainment. It's got a roadhouse atmosphere, the girls are very friendly and outgoing towards other women, which I appreciate. As a woman I do not feel uncomfortable or stared at at Acropolis. Honestly we've had so much fun each time we've gone that we shower tons of cash on the girls! Hey, they're getting nekkid and they deserve it. Highly recommended!
