While visiting relatives in Portland I asked where the best vintage costume jewelry could be found. I was taken to check out the antique shops in Sellwood. Being an avid costume jewelry collector, I was looking for quality pieces in good to excellent condition. We started on the south end of 13th Ave. and worked our way north. I was very disappointed in the scarce pieces that were in some of the shops we entered. Many were not in good condition and the prices were very high. Our final stop was Sellwood Mall and I was very pleasantly surprised! There were 2 large attractive stalls chock full of excellent quality and condition vintage costume jewelry. Many were signed by well known designers of the past. The prices were very reasonable, and several were on sale. If you are a vintage costume jewelry collector, Sellwood Mall is the place for you!
Pros: Excellent selection of antiques, collectables and vintage costume jewelry.
Cons: Some of the stalls were cluttered and not very consumer friendly. Some had price tags that could not be seen through the locked glass.

I can spend hours browsing all the cases which have ever- changing and new items added often. There are glass stalls for small items, and open stalls for larger ones. There is an upstairs showing larger items. Sellwood Antique Mall has one of the best collections of high quality signed antique/vintage costume jewelry in Sellwood. All of the pieces are in excellent condition. One can also find some vintage fine gold jewelry at great prices! A perfect shopping destination for jewelry collectors and lovers! China and ceramic collectors will be very pleased with the selection of fine china and ceramics. The staff are friendly and very helpful. A perfect antique mall for that unusual and unique gift.

Great place for antiques. Great set up. Easy to view everything! I like all the tall glass cases -- it makes it easy to walk around and SEE everything. No clutter. I can spend hours in here! lots of variety of collectibles and antiques!

Excellent staff to assist you with selections from an extremely diverse number of individual owner booths and cases. Many reasonably priced items and some hard-to-find treasures!

Best variety of collectibles in Portland Area, right in the middle of Sellwood "Antique Row".
