I love this restaurant for its breakfast choices...great espresso...wonderful choices of omelets, pastries, and potatoes. If you want to indulge yourself in a quaint setting with great service, have breakfast at the Bistro. You'll be glad you did!

i love this hotel. its so comfortable and you can earn Hilton reward points just for staying. stayed across the street at the Heathman but i dont think they thought we were "Heathman Material", so only stayed one night there. Love the views. i live in salem but when i go to Portland I will always stay here for the price and the comfort.
- Pros: nice bar at the executive tower
- Cons: should have free computer use
Cheaper Rates Than Others but in middle of construction
by rodessa at Citysearch
The hotel is nice and in a good location but there is much construction going on in the area. Their parking lot was full so we had to park across the street in a parking garage and carry all of our stuff across the street. There are two towers. The first tower we entered we were greeted by a staff member who was slightly rude and told us we had to go across the street to check in. When we arrived across the street there was a line for check in and most of those people had rooms in the opposite tower (that we just came from). Once we got registered and to our room we were shocked at how small the room was; you could barely squeeze between the bed and the dresser to get to the other side of the room. I can see why the price for this "luxory" hotel was cheaper than others in the area. The redeeming quality was the food and drinks in the lobby bar; it was prehaps the best lobby bar we have encountered
- Pros: Good Location in Downtown Shopping District
- Cons: No taxi's easily available; rooms are small
A beloved landmark near Pioneer Square is a favorite for local events.

The Scene
Pioneer Square, also known as Portland's living room, is the heart of downtown. Just a few blocks away sits the hotel, which frequently hosts expensive weddings, election night parties and charity galas. The pleasant, two-story atrium lobby is usually crowded with an even blend of conventioneers, tourists and businesspeople, not to mention the locals who are attending one event or another.
The Details
The main hotel offers 785 rooms and suites with the standard amenities, as well as state-of-the-art fire-life safety system electronic key locks. The Executive Tower, which was built in 2002, offers 327 upscale, boutique-style rooms, as well as a restaurant, retail space and meeting rooms. This complex is ideally located for culture seekers; the performing arts center and museum are within blocks. Shopping and light rail to the rest of the city are equally convenient.
agree, the best pool

Always ready for a swim, we love the pool at this place. Being downtown and get to swim in the morning. Ahhhh.
Good place to stay...

We come to Portland couple of times a year, found this place and try to stay there when rooms are available. It has great value ($80-100 is pretty good for a downtown hotel), nice fitness center w/pool and sauna, and of course location. This hotel is one of the newer and cleaner ones.
