Scantily clad teenagers unabashedly checking each other out.

The Young Ones

A 16th birthday in Portland opens new doors. Not only can 16-year-olds open the car door, get in and drive themselves downtown with a legal license, they can also walk through the doors of Quest. Being young has its perks--no one older than 20 is allowed into the club unless they're chaperoning someone who is. But it might be worth taking a chaperone on Friday or Saturday, to help pay your $10 cover. It's half as much on other nights and free for ladies before midnight on Thursdays. And if you arrive after midnight, the minimum age is 18, so have your ID ready.

Hit the Floor

DJs spin techno on Wednesday, house and top-40 Thursday through Saturday, and hip-hop on Sunday. Take out all of your aggressions by shaking it on the dance floor or shooting some pool, because security will not tolerate any fighting. Those who've consumed alcohol beforehand will also be turned away, no matter how long they've been waiting in line.

1st time for fun

by pinsar69

This was a good club for me I went there the first time and was impressed. phones are always broken. Wear lots of clothing, bouncers wont let you in with somthing Diirty on. drinks are over priced but, thats how they make their money. If you are not into the hip hop or rap secene DON't GO

  • Pros: Good Music, lots of people, few women
  • Cons: Expensive, Theft, over loud

You don't know what your missing

by TightMyke360

The Quest is the greatest club around. I've been going every weekend for about a year I know the bouncers, the DJs, and the regulars. Its a great atmoshpere, the only people who aren't having funs are the ones who are sitting on the sides. Myke's advise: "Get up and dance, have fun, and who cares!"

  • Pros: Atmosphere, Music, Roomy dance floor
  • Cons: Music (ToomuchTechno), Some of the people, Thelonglineonthursday

DaNcE StAr

The Quest is a great place to go if you want to show off your moves. There are plenty of boxes and platforms to dance on to be the center of attention. Z100's own DJ's on Saturday nights at 11pm. It doesn't pick up till 'bout 11, and no problem meeting people. If your not the dancing type there are also pool tables, and plenty of places to sit and hang. The bouncers are awsome and friendly. Trendy people, too. Most of the hot guys are dancing up on the platforms, so if you want to get their attention, don't be shy and make sure to move on in. They do a lot of mixing with Techno and Rap, perfect if you're the typical 95.5 listner. I go a lot and have yet to go to Rockafellas, but will definately go there soon and decided which one is better.

  • Pros: lots of people, trendy
  • Cons: parking

teeny boppers galore!!!

by The_Avery

The Quest used to be a great place for teenagers to go and hang out at. The Quest is no Longer like that thanks to management allowing children aged 12 to 14 into the establishment when they have a Chaperone (a very annoyed older sibling who was forced by their parents to bring the munchkins in because they think of it as a time for them to bond). They tear up the scene with their attempt to imitate the moves of popular pop artists and I might add that these little munchkins are very bad at dancing they look more like they are have a seizure than having rythmn. So I do not recommend going to this place if you want to have good time and instead go somewhere like the New Paris Theater where teeny-Boppers are not allowed.

  • Pros: Good Music, Good parking
  • Cons: Too Many Children, teeny-boppers, middle schoolers

Coo place 2 chill

by lilhooligan420

I went to the quest with a friend of mine for the first time. No one really showed up until 11:30 pm but it was worth the wait. The quest has a few pool tables and a dance floor. The music they play is coo. Alot of cute guyz there. Definitly one of the best things to do on the weekend.

  • Pros: inexpensive, parking near by, popular club
  • Cons: $5 for re entrance

I'm 25, my date 17 (We both loved Quest)

by VictorHoffer

The Quest is great: dance, sit back & watch, chat, even meet people. My girlfriend & I had an unbelievably good time, as did 2 friends who came along.

The best times are earlier ... quality of music, people, dancing ... all started downhill near the end of the night.

Happy Birthday, RMS! (18 July)

  • Pros: Lots of Space, Good Dancing/Music, Excellent Security
  • Cons: Sometimes Too Loud, Drink Selection...
