This caterer provided a luncheon I attended last year and their food was very good. I hired them this year to cater my wedding reception. I am impressed with their organization. Everyone I met seemed to focus completely on me and seemed well versed in the details I had planned as we went along. I only wish my florist kept track of my wishes as well. My wedding was perfect. I wasn't really concerned about the food as I was about the other things but I had already tried their food. My guests were happy and I have had nothing but raves about how good everything tasted and looked. Even though to me the food wasn't as important as the look and feel of my wedding, I confess that after the fact I am thrilled and proud the my guests enjoyed everything so much. I would highly recommend them.

Rafati's obviously knows the ins and outs of corporate requirements. I can't say enough about the quality of their food and services. They saved me a ton of time, made my boss happy. Great customer service, very responsive. I needed a quote for our annual meeting in 24 hours. I called only two caterers because I was busy and out of time. Rafati's not only called me back quickly, they called me back. (the other didn't) They met my budget with flying colors, and their food sounded so good I didn't need to make any changes. I had lots of compliments from the shareholders on how great this event was and several notes days later. I will use them again with great confidence.

Pros: Very high quality food, staff knew exactly what to do, I didn't have to change anything

Not only was the food outstanding, but the presentation was over the top - from mashed potatoes in martini glasses to crab cakes served on spoons with a modern design. Plus, the entire team at Rafatis does a wonderful job working together to make your wedding event truly unique and perfect in everyway. We were fortunate to work with Rafatis owner Georgia Rafati, who helped coordinate the entire event and even attended our rehearsal. She has elegant taste and provides importance guidance to those of us who have imagined the perfect wedding since we were young but don't quite know how to put the pieces together.

Pros: Delicious food, amazing presentation, very professional team

Cons: There's only one Georgia, and she's the best at what she does

My wife and I had our reception at the Lawrence Gallery in the Pearl. It was great. Rafati's helped us put together a real class event that our friends were in awe of. My wife worked with the owner for almost a year but it was real easy for us. The food was great. It not only was fancy and different than anything else you get at typical Portland weddings but for me it tasted good and there was plenty of it. I spent a lot of time working for caterers while in college so there is no fooling me. They really do it right.

Pros: Only thumbs up cant think of any negatives

Rafati's catered our annual Board Meeting and the following Shareholders Reception. They had great ideas, were highly organized, came in and set up with no fuss. The food was elegant and tasty, the servers took wonderful care of our guests. It was the best experience I have had in Portland producing events for my boss. I tried them out based on comments I read here and hope my experience is of help to someone else.

I found this caterer at a fundraiser I attended at the Lawrence Gallery last October. They had samples of food and very friendly waiters serving it. When I talked with the young man about their lobster soup he was knowledgeable and suggested I call in to talk with him at more length about my daughter's wedding. I did and ended up signing them to cater at our home. So far I have had two planning meetings and a site visit. Thursday we had a tasting. It was everything I expected. We haven't had the main event but everything so far has been wonderful. I was worried about all of these details and the planning just seems to take care of itself. I read these reviews and they were so right, I wanted to help someone else like me.

Everything I read here was right on. I held my wedding and reception at the Tiffany Center last month and it was fantastic. Rafati's does all of the catering but they also do absolutely everything to make a wedding perfect. From the time I booked my date they were right there to hold my hand. Nothing was forgotten, every detail planned for. I went from Bridezilla to laid back. And the day of my wedding was like a dream. Everything I had pictured happened, the room was beautiful, I had my own "coach" for the day, my mom just partied down! The food was fantastic - I can't really describe just how perfect everything was. Now I want to do it all again! Girls, you can't go wrong with this caterer.

I hired the firm to provide catering services to a week long seminar I produced in Oregon City. It consisted of breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack service. My experience was flawless. They were on time every time - which was important for me because the group absolutely had to stay on schedule. The food was delicious, fresh. Hot food was hot and the cold food was cold. They also managed to make everything look amazing in the short amount of time they had to set up. I would definitely recommend them to any corporate planner. For anyone else, for that matter! I found it very easy to do business with them via email as well. Whatever I asked for or needed they were right on it! This was the best experience from catering that I can ever remember in 13 years at this post.

I used Rafati's catering for a 2 day conference at a local hospital. Although they didn't have the french toast listed as a menu item, they were able to make a french toast buffet, with fruit, & bacon for a very reasonable price. I have definately recommended them to other event coordinators and will absolutely use them in the future. Their food was excellent! (the bacon was absolutely incredible) And the serving staff was very efficient, friendly and professional. The catering manager was very easy to work with, and was able to make last minute additions to my order without a hitch. Thanks so much!

I have three daughters and one son, and I can't tell you how much fun we have had in the last three years with two of my daughters and my sons' weddings! Looking back I couldn't have done it without Georgia! She was so wonderful to work with. Rafati's food is well known and I would hire them only for that. But Georgia worked with each of my daughters and my daughter in law to personalize their weddings. Each of them were all very different. I have had such a good time. If anyone is worried about how to even start on the whole wedding plan thing I would say call Georgia. She will not only get you started, you will enjoy every step and have the time of your life with your family and friends.
