AWFUL!!!
by whitneylj
Why do they call themselves a bakery? I go in no earlier than 8:30am some week days and they don't have any mufffins, no breads, no scones...nothing. Why even call yourselves a bakery? The service is atrocious! It takes more than 15 minutes to even get food that's already in the display case (if there even is any). YIKES!!! I only go there when I am absolutely desperate and even then, I regret it. The cashiers are grumpy and curt. Don't go here.
Wonderful omeletes
by whichmarx
I've had a late weekend breakfast here several times, and each time ordered an omelete. The presentation is always slightly different, but the food is consistently wonderful. I recommend the havarti + avocado + mushroom + blue cheese omelette, a double espresso, and the current issue of The Economist (you'll have to supply that part yourself). Bliss.
- Pros: Wonderful breakfast spot, great atmosphere
- Cons: Downtown construction
good stuff - fun staff for a bakery

Fun staff at the ones I go too hip nice not to corporate or snobby. Good food, baked goods and coffee. So many bakeries have bad coffee.
- Pros: Great Service and food

ummm Greatest cake and sandwich ever. The lady below should check out what the slow food movement is online -hehe. I get such a kick out of people - Like your opinion matters if you are upset. You Portlanders are so funny I think you all should live in New York for 6 months. Try to complain at a good place to eat there - they will tell you to not come back! You have so much good food and all you do is complain, it really is funny.
- Pros: Great Food - Pastries
- Cons: Its in Portland
good food, poor service
by easl
being a part of the slow food movement should not be an excuse for extremely slow service. in fact, they have absolutely nothing to do with one another. it took close to 30 minutes for a sandwich and bowl of soup - and then they forgot to bring out the soup. then they forgot the bread that was ordered with the soup. then they forgot the utensils, so i could eat the soup, and so it went... the soup was a beef vegetable, which was good. i tasted the pasta salad with creamy pesto, which needed salt desperately, and also a turkey sandwich (good but not epic). the employees were surly, and looked like they needed showers. put gloves on for god's sake if you're handling my food. gross.
- Pros: good food
- Cons: dirty and surly employees

Just got done eating at Rose's (so bad I wrote a review) and had to rave about Three Lions Bakery's food. If you like good pastry you have to give these guy's a shot. I have never been unhappy with any food item I have ordered from Three Lions. They are a traditional cafe enviroment so it can take a while to get food at lunch (or what seems like a while smelling the baking going on). I had a friend that worked here and it is the main bakery for all of the stores. Have a great day.
- Pros: Great food
- Cons: hmmmm Baked goods have so many calories!
Best Pastries, Sandwiches, Cake
by ilivetoeat2day
Great lunch spot and great pastries. I go to the new one on 23rd avenue and this location. These guys still make it all themselves like so few places do anymore. I would check it out if you appreciate quality.
- Pros: Good Lunch, Great Pastries, Great Dessert
- Cons: Busy (the price you pay for good :)

Sip on an espresso drink or try something off the menu including pastries, cakes, European tarts, sandwiches, soups and more.
Great Cake
by johnlikesfood
Man that was so good I wrote this review. I love great cake because there is so much bad cake out there. They had a special cake for slices and I bought two. Anyway these guys have the best cake Yum :P
- Pros: Great Cake
- Cons: not near my house :(
Great Food!

Just wanted to add my two cents about Three Lions Bakery. I think this bakery is the best if it wasn't in old town it would be the most popular bakery in the city. Since Marsee is closing stores we need to support our locally owned good bakeries! Support these guys people while we still have a few good morning places left!
- Pros: locally owned, great food, great pastries
- Cons: cafe seating, busy at lunch, not open late
