Nice atmosphere
by cuetee
I enjoyed this place. Good atmosphere, good food. Great place to hang out with friends in a relaxed atmosphere to enjoy a brew. Plus, if I remember correctly, it's next to the Crystal Ballroom. Grab a drink before a concert.
Like its eclectic decor, this spacious McMenamins-owned saloon attracts a wide range for brews.

In Short
From dance academy to garage, this historic building has been put to many uses. Today, antique lamps and Oriental carpets, Indonesian carvings and vintage pool tables all combine with the Burnside grit outside the windows. A good place for groups and families during the day, Ringlers is known as one of the city's best singles scenes at night. An almost endless drink menu includes microbrews, fine bourbons, single-malt scotches and specialty cocktails.
Too crowded
by jasejazz
THis place picked up dramatically at 10 PM. The DJ is not very good, it was more like bleeding songs together rather than mixing. It was horrible. The place is so packed, it took me the longest time to get from one side of the bar to the other. It is a great place if you don't plan on moving anywhere in the restaurant.

This place is a lot of fun and if you are there earlier on in the day, they do have an awesome happy hour!
- Pros: awesome beer, good food, awesome atmosphere
- Cons: too crowded at times
I had a Good Time
by quik213
By the time I got here...I was already smashed so I didnt order 1 drink. So I couldnt say if they were strong or expensive. The line was long...(I went yesterday..a Saturday) They were playing hip hop and the dance floor was packed..there were plenty of single ladies everywhere. There was no cover charge and they arent strict about dress code. I definately recommend checkin this place out.
- Pros: No Cover, Good Singles Spot, Crowded
Ringlers great for night scene

It is rediculous to complain about the strength of a long island. The point of the drink is that it is strong, but does not TASTE strong. I have had long islands there and have become more tipsy than I care to admit. I have had good service at Ringlers, despite the fact that it gets rediculously busy on the weekends. Sometimes you have to wait a minute or two to get a drink, but that is a small price to pay for the scene. I have never had to wait more that four minutes TOPS for service, and I have always been treated with respect. Overall, it is great fun with hot people and NO COVER!
- Pros: no cover, good music, dancing
- Cons: , line to get in
Fun at McMenamins
by swissms420
This is a great place on a Friday night. The drinks are so-so, the beer is McMenamins, (you can also get others). There's pool tables, a dance floor and good music. It gets crowded making it hard to get to the bar, so ration out your drinks carefully.
- Pros: good atmosphere, fun
Ring THIS.....

Scale of 1 to 10, I'd give them a 2. One for clean bathrooms, one for good dancing. Service was HORRIBLE and I was even there on my 21st birthday. If they can't treat the birthday girl right, that's wrong!! It was more fun waiting to get in than it was once I was there. Forget 3 strikes, you're out.
- Pros: Clean, Music
- Cons: , Rude Service
Mixed emotions

What to say about Ringlers? I've been here several times, and it's really hit or miss regarding the clientele. Some nights there a lot of friendly people (read: women) and other nights nothing but catty women and low class guys. The service, however, is consistently terrible. The crowds are no excuse.
- Pros: close to my house, gets busy, laid back I guess
- Cons: bad service, bad service, bad service
not bad

It's a McMenamins-of course it's gonna be cool! I think it's a great place to hang out. But seating can be uncomfortable-but realistic for how crowded it gets!
- Pros: hard wood benches, great lighting, lots of pool tables
- Cons: casual, laid-back
