Great place to take in-laws
by abronnert
This is a great restaurant to take your visiting in-laws. My in-laws, visiting from Manhattan, were very happy with the food and pleasant service. I also thought the food was great. Everything from the bread, gazpacho, halibut, and coffee was terrific quality. The waitress was very attentive as well.
- Pros: Very tasty, savory dishes
In love with Lucy's
by pdxjunebug25
I stopped in at Lucy's Table on a whim because I had read about the happy hour in the Happy Hour guide book, but had made it too late and decided to stay for dinner and was not disappointed and even the I wasn't in my best clothes to be in the dining room of such a cozy establishment, I was welcomed openly by the owner and staff alike. Like most mid-twenty somethings I have a bit of an alternative appearance the owner smiled and it was their pleasure to have my friend and I there. Boy were we in a for a treat, the goat cheese ravioli and tomato and butter leaf lettuce salad were our starters and they were outstanding. Then we had the steak and the ribs (which were out of this world, meat so tender it fell off the bone), to cap off our evening we had a french toast bread pudding with bacon ice cream (I had to be talked into that one but I misjudged and was taken by extreme surprise). The owner and server were amazing the entire time, helping pair wines through our courses and making us feel like family. We will be coming back, again and again.
- Pros: Staff, atmosphere, FOOD, wine
- Cons: parking (valet available)
My favorite place in PDX for Great Food and Great Wine
by LaraMW
I have been coming to Lucy's table now for 3 years. The food is always amazing, the service is great and they have a social hour from 5:00 - 6:30 where you can get the bar food menu items at half price! in addition to great wine and coctails at an additional discount.
I am 25 years old and Lucy's Table is truely my favorite place to dine in portland all my friends would say the same. You won't be disapointed!!!
- Pros: Amazing food and wine at very reasonable prices
- Cons: Not open on Sunday
Not impressed
by monicam2003
A close friend and myself tried this restaurant recently. It was disappointing. The ambiance of the restaurant appears pretentious and uptight. We made reservations but really didn't need to. There were only a handful of tables being used. The new trainee waitress was polite, professional, and quick to respond to our requests. The only food that is worth mentioning is the goat cheese ravioli which was really well made, very delcious. The rest of the food we ordered was trying too hard and missing the mark (not much flavor). It appears the owners are attempting to have this upscale, classy restaurant but forgot that people actually want to feel comfortable and satisfied when eating anywhere. Will not be returning any time soon.
- Pros: Goat cheese ravioli, valet parking, good wine selection
- Cons: Uptight crowd, mediocre food for expensive prices
sterile atmosphere but really good food

We tried this place out several times looking for a new hangout after work. We spend upward of $100 per evening on drinks and dinner and were "interviewing" for a new place.
The owner is clearly uptight about our patronage, as we do not wear pleated dockers and chambray shirts and do not have white hair.
Tonight, we heard him speaking to one of his patrons about us! Taking up one end of the bar.
I guess if you are not old and conservative you should go elsewhere, even if you have tons of cash to spend after work! I have never been treated with such disregard and disdain when I was spending money in my life. It was embarrassing. I should point out we are upper middle class people, not meth fiends, but we wear non-dockers.
Message: The atmosphere is morgue-ish, so are the
"regulars", so if you aren't, don't put yourself through the judgements and disdain of the owner, who is clearly upset by anyone who isn't his "type".
- Pros: great food
- Cons: owner uptight
Worst Dining Experience in Portand
by dhupdx
I am a bit of a foodie and have toured all the best restaurants that this great city has to offer, including Beast, Sel Gris, Le Pigeon. etc. etc.. I thought Lucy's Table would be on that list but unfortunately it was my worst dining experience in Portland.
The owner and his staff made it clear that me and my 2 guests were not welcome. The owner sized us up when we walked in the door, and had a problem when we redeemed our coupons for free appetizers that he advertised in a mailing WITHOUT DISCLAIMER, even when we were ordering wine, entrees and desserts.
The staff was no better. Our waitress wanted to hear nothing of my expressed concern about how we were being treated and interrupted me mid-sentence to make it clear that "we are not judging you."
Well, I know what it is like to be judged and just because I didn't look like the rest of your diners that evening doesn't mean that my money isn't as good as theirs. And I'll be happy to spend my money elsewhere.
- Cons: Owner is very unwelcoming, staff follows his lead
We had a wonderful evening

We finally made it to dinner here and were rewarded with a terrific experience. Our waitress, Stacy, was fantastic and really added to the pleasure my wife and I experienced dining at Lucy's Table. The atmosphere, decor, food and service all exceeded our expectations. We can't stop sharing all of the positives with our friends. We will definitely come back for more!
- Pros: goat cheese ravioli was incredible
- Cons: cannot think of any
Best restaurant in town!
by jessejacob
When folks visit from out of town, we take them to Lucy's Table. When we want to have a romantic night out, we head to Lucy's Table. When friends want to meet up for a fun and tasty happy hour, we meet at Lucy's Table. This Portland gem has it all. A superior menu and a friendly and knowledgeable staff. It doesn't matter that Lucy's Table is all the way across town, I would drive almost anywhere to eat at what has easily become my favorite dining spot in town.
- Pros: The menu!!! The staff!!!
- Cons: parking

Outstanding Restaurant
by jvigue
Went here for our 25th anniversary with 3 other couples. Everyone had something different and everyone enjoyed their dish. I has the wild boar ravioli and it was delicious but my friend had the rib-eye and it was amazing! Service was excellent. I recommend ordering the Ghost Pines red wine with your dinner. It has become a favorite of our. We are going back tonight for Valentine's dinner and I am ordering the rib-eye. The pommegranite baby back ribs are also amazing!
- Pros: Food, service, wine list
- Cons: small
TRY the GOAT CHEESE RAVIOLI
by foodsleuth
Amazing!
Great cocktails, good service, nice entrees. But the whole reason that you should head on in to Lucy's Table is for the Goat Cheese Ravioli.
You will not be disappointed.
