IT'S BEEN CLOSED SINCE LATE 2007

by SMorrisRose

Closed. History. In the past, and not even the particularly recent past. Until time travel becomes possible, having this place listed on CitySearch can only serve to mislead people into paying a visit to the place, as we did last week. Ate well next door, though.

  • Pros: Used to be great, apparently.
  • Cons: It's closed, replaced by a bar.

Restaurant is NO LONGER OPEN

by tabmaister

We recently went to Serratto (great Italian restaurant next to Tuscany Grill) and were planning on stopping into Tuscany Grill for desert, specifically their Tiramisu, which was to die for! However, we quickly discovered that Tuscany Grill is no longer in business, as evidenced by a letter from the former owners in the window. Not sure how long it takes Citysearch to update it's information for this sort of thing, but you will be disappointed if you plan on having dinner there.

  • Pros: N/A
  • Cons: NO LONGER OPEN

Great Food, Great Atmosphere, Great Service!

by chicago_man28

I was visiting from Chicago for a week and decided to go for Italian with my father. I was in seek of Brushetta and many Portland Italian Restaurants did not serve "old world style" Brushetta with ripe tomatoes and fresh basil. I was very impressed by service and a kind door greater. I would highly recommend Tuscany as an Italian favorite if in the area. :)

Amazing Meat Dishes!

by ezrahug

I've been eating at Tuscany Grill for 9 years and have never been disappointed- it's real Italian food and ambiance without the NW pretension. I had a friend who worked there and he would always rave about the quality of the meat and veggies saying that they're organic but the the owners don't advertise this fact because it might come off as snooty. Anyway, great place and great food if you're into a genuine eating experience...

  • Pros: Quality of food, personality of service, warm atmosphere
  • Cons: limited parking, can be a bit loud on a Friday night

Fantastic Wait Staff, Great Parking

by qaedon

Very nice place. Dinner for two, including two coctails and one glass of wine, a starter, a salad and to main courses was $78 - so it was very moderately priced!

For the appetizer we had battered calamari with battered pepperocini skins. To die for! I mean, chef oughta just get out of the restaurant business altogether, and just sell those pepperocini skins! Yummmmo - addicting.

I had a potato crusted Alaskan Halibut over green beans which was heavenly. My partner had a rigatoni with red marinara and buffalo mozzarella. I didn't think his meal matched the $16 price tag, but he sure did!

We couldn't stay for dessert, because we had to go to an Elton John concert. But I hear the tiramisu is something you just GOTTA HAVE!

  • Pros: Fast seating, friendly wait staff who are PLEASED that you are there!
  • Cons: Tiny tables. I knocked my wine glass over.

I went here for the first time on Thursday and this place instantly became one of my top 3 places for food and wine. Every aspect of the Tuscany Grill is great. Keep it up!

Italian comfort food accented by rustic Tuscan decor makes hearkens back to Old World Italy.

by Contributor

In Short
Exposed beams, chandeliers hanging from rope and pulleys, wooden farm tools and mirrors accent the dining room. Amber walls radiate a glow over diners at tables topped with brown paper. Fresh mozzarella blends with heirloom tomatoes, basil and balsamic dressing. Saffron broth mingles with homemade gnocchi, rock shrimp and caramelized onions. Scaloppine is served old-style: Veal layered with prosciutto and sage on spinach. Tiramisu is arranged in glass lined with ladyfingers for dipping.

Really accomodating

by garcar

Wonderful food, the service is excellent. 2 of our party are "high maintenance" due to dietary and taste limitations. The wait person and kitchen stepped right up with suggestions for substitutions and cooking variations. All of this was done without price adjustments. This is certainly one of the best Italian restaurants in the Portland metropolitan area.

I Love this place!!!

by waltsgirl

This is my favorite restaurant in PDX. Good food, good service, nice atmosphere. I have been coming here weekly since they opened and it is always great. I am not into the pretentious "scene" the happens in so many eateries. I have never been disappointed. They have a parking lot in back!

  • Pros: Excellent Food, Excellent Service
