I have been a valued patron at CC Slaughters since it's days on Stark Street when it had a pink door with a round hole for a window. It had an upstairs, wonderful crowd, dance floor and areas to sit, dine and chat. In the mid-90's, Slaughter's featured an all you can eat breakfast buffet for $2.99. It was amazing and so filling. Gay guys and the girls who love them would pile into the bar, eat until you pop and meet new people who sat at your table. People left other bars early to get to CC's for seating. It was the most popular single item that drew crowds Friday and Saturday and now...it's gone. So is the fun, the crowds, the money they made and left behind is bitter-sweet memories. John Jr. and John Senior (founders) knew how to add flare while helping customers feel welcome. Then, CC's moved to a new home. For nearly 10 years, I visited every Saturday only missing a few. I danced with friends, met new people and had too much fun. Once the new owners began making changes, it changed the friendliness we had all known, cover prices at the door made us feel unwelcome, not cared about. Suddenly we paid for enjoyments we'd received FREE prior. It snubbed us regulars. A bad business choice. The music of DJ Frankie J no longer played, several DJ's came and went. All that remained is long, boring dance tracks and tired Madonna songs. The dining area was remodeled several times and removed was it's dimly lighted charms. In the end the place simply needs to return to a relaxed, non-noisy, brightly lighted dance area. Turn the music down a bit to talk. Your drink prices need to be lowered a dollar or so and how about a special or two Friday and Saturdays? Show us we mean something to you. Be thankful we're at CC's we can go anywhere. Money and decorations are wonderful but treat ME (your customer) right by listening to what we have to say. There are no long lines to enter the club today but there always were from 1999 and beyond. Lose the rated X vids too. It's cheap

Pros: Good sound system, nice lighting, ample seating

Cons: Too dark , music too loud too often, can't talk without shouting, annoying rated X vids, smokey till 2009
