THIS BUSINESS IS OUT OF BUSINESS IT WAS BOUGHT OUT BY STARBUCKS 3 YEARS AGO Torrefazione Italia is NO MORE THE PEOPLE AT CITY-SEARCH are too LAZY or STUPID TO actually update the site But I'm sure they want you to enjoy their advertising

Torrie's soars above the corporate coffee so common these days. The espresso is not bitter, nor burnt, but is earthy and sweet, the aroma pungent and sensuous. Their cappucinnos are not covered with bubbly sea-foam like at Starbucks, and each drink is served in hand-painted pottery so intricate and colorful that it must tempt everyone to accidentally walk away with one. The atmosphere is americanized Italia. Endless appreciation for these Italians and their coffee!
Pros: Beautiful baristas, Tantalizing espresso, Inviting destination
Cons: A bit stuffy at times, no plugs for laptops

In Torrefazione Italia you get the best coffee, best service, best ambience, best decoration, nicest customers, most beautiful looking girls serving you your coffee, in the nicest cups, and lots more. Particular the one in the corner of N.W 12th.

This is the most consistantly good cup of coffee in Oregon, Washington, and Western Canada. And as a bonus the truly Italian bakery items are unique and delicious

Good straight forward coffee. You can get it in an actual cup and sit down and drink it properly. None of this froo-froo mocha-almond-rasberry-carmel-slurpy stuff.

Never bitter, always strong, yummy lovely coffee... Can't go wrong, these people know their joe. I'd walk the extra mile or more to get this over that OTHER coffee company.

What can be said about this place...it is absolutely the best!!!! Great, strong Italian coffee and friendly service. What more can any coffee lover (and non-coffee lover) want? They even have juices there for you non-coffee drinkers. Great place to catch up w/ old friends or meet new ones!

I wish that there was a chain of these on every block instead of YOU KNOW WHO! These people actually know how to make coffee and drinks! For example, when you get a mocha, you can actually taste the COFFEE part!? Oh! So that's what a MOCHA tastes like! With Torrefazione you get the traditional traditional coffee. Here you can savor the taste of coffee. You don't have to worry about being overloaded with sugar and chocolate. Here, I know that I am getting a Mocha, not a Chocolate Milk! The BEST in town!

I'm am not a coffee drinker, but have been blessed with a fiancee that drinks at least 2 cups a day. While her standard is the convenience of The Buck, she greatly prefers Torrefazione. In fact she has mentioned on more than one occassion that we move to the 23rd area to make it more convenient for her to go to her favorite coffee shop. I've tried a few mochas but not sweet enough for my amatuer tastes. Although one day in Seattle we went to a dive breakfast shop and i drink 3 cups of excellent coffee. Lo and behold the sign on the door- Torrefazione Italie coffee here! It is a winner.
