Quality, unique clothing
by 8alotfood
I have been shopping at Elizabeth Street for the last 4 years, and always get compliments on the clothes I bought from the store. I always find something fun and unique! The owner, Libby, is so friendly and helpful. She always has great suggestions...and good energy!
- Pros: High Quality, Unique Style
- Cons: Pricey - but worth given quality
Thanks for the great customer service ... NOT!

I've been in Elizabeth Street twice and will never come again, no matter what kinds of nice things they have! Both times I came in, nobody ever greeted me or even showed the slightest bit of acknowledgement towards me. The customer service is non-existent. I left sarcastically saying, "Thanks for the great customer service!" and was given the same snobby stare I received when I first arrived. I never recommend this store to my friends except to advise them not to shop there.
- Pros: Nice building and location
- Cons: Unfriendly and inadequate customer service

The worst customer service ever!!
by blackporsche928
Customer service appears to be non existent at Elizabeth Street. The personnel is haughty and doesn't care if you have money to spend.
I purchased the identical item I saw at Elizabeth Street online. Their customer service was much better! Free shipping, even.
The owner of this establishment should get a clue.
Don't Bother....

I have to agree with the previous entries about the customer service at Elizabeth St. I have lived on the street for many years and shopped more than once at the store and am always surprised at how rude the staff is, even the ones who have been there the longest. I have now stopped going in and have passed on to all my friends to not even bother going in.
Horrible sales staff
by hotpink321
I recently moved to NW 23rd and have been into Elizabeth Street several times. About a year ago, before I moved here, I was visiting and remembered that the sales staff were very stuck up and ignored me.... nothing has changed! Wearing a Marc Jacobs dress and $1K Chanel boots, I walked in with a purse full of money and was completely ignored. The women who work at Elizabeth Street seem to have the same mentality as the kids who work at Abercrombie: they're too good for everyone. It's obnoxious and tiring. Like one of the previous users said, I dont' know why I still stop in on occassion. I will never buy anything there. I've lived and shopped in NYC, Boston, and LA and have never encountered such awful salespeople. I don't even normally care about customer service, so I think the fact that I'll never buy anything from Elizabeth Street based *solely* on the salespeople there says a lot...
- Pros: nice clothes, open atmosphere
- Cons: too bad the pros are overshadowed by the horribly stuck up service
This fashionable boutique could easily be elitist and snobby--but it's not.

In Short
The store offers everything from cashmere sweaters and evening dresses to jeans and T-shirts. Unlike many stores that assume only size-2 women want to look great, this boutique offers the latest styles in a wide range of sizes. The store receives new fashions weekly, so sizes replenish quickly. Though there are some high-end items, many pieces are reasonably priced. Bargain-hunters should check out the sale area (a small space in the back of the store).
Infamous Customer Service
by jennyisthe1
I have bought numerous items from Elizabeth Street and have received the same aloof attitude mentioned in other reviews. In fact, I have never heard a positive word uttered, from friends or colleagues, about the boutique's staff. The convenience of its location makes it difficult to avoid but I will try harder to spend my money elsewhere. The most disheartening aspect of the store is that after so much negative attention there have been no obvious attempts to improve its customer service.
- Pros: Location, Selection
- Cons: Poor Customer Service
Horrible Customer Service

Although Elizabeth Street carries a wide selection and could potentially be a fun place to shop, the customer service is absolutely awful. I don't even know why I've been in there more than once, but during every single visit I have been ignored and/or stared at up and down. I am a shopper with money to spend, but will NEVER spend a penny in that store and will NEVER return. Little do they know, I work on the street and never recommend Elizabeth Street to my customers and out-of-towners.
- Pros: broad selection
- Cons: bad customer service, high prices
Great clothes and more!!
by gancia
Can't get to Fred Segal or Barneys - Elizabeth Street has what you need! I was amazed at the picks in merchandise. Lots of great designers, everything from Rozae Nichols and Da-nang to Velvet and Three Dots tees. Tons of denim selections - cool Italian stuff like "Dondup" (very edgy), Diesel, and many other favorites. Thanks for all your help updating my wardrobe!! I love the all in one shopping with Zelda's Shoe Bar adjacent, and the beautiful jewelry finds from Pade! Very cool. Great store, perfect selections.
- Pros: Professional staff, Amazing merchandise, Clean environment
- Cons: No restroom
