As a gadget hound, Kitchen Kaboodle is one of my favorite haunts. No small device is too obscure. Good variety of stuff from cookware to housewares to decorative items.
What I like best though is that when we need a small appliance, they may not have the wide range within a brand that a department store has, but they tend to concentrate on just a few of the high-quality selections. (Much like Williams Sonoma in that regard.)
I smile every time we make pancakes on our awesome griddle we bought here: one, because the griddle is flat-out beautiful, easy to use, and has perfectly even surface temperature but also because - hey, pancakes!
black cast iron skillet

I recently purchased a black cast iron skillet from Kitchen Kaboodle. I needed a new skillet, as my old one had found an untimely death of being torched in a grease fire on the top of my stove. (My fault, not the skillet's.) Kitchen Kaboodle sold my boyfriend and myself on the idea of a black cast iron skillet, sure to outlast us, completely un-ruin-able... That is, as long as you never wash it with soap. That being said, it is hard to keep a pan in your kitchen that is never to be cleaned with out soap. While this was not Kitchen Kaboodle's fault, the pan bit the dust.
- Pros: great customer service
- Cons: i've been known to ruin cooking pans...
Packed to the gills with the essentials for your kitchen and beyond.

I shop all the kitchen stores in town, but always find myself coming back to Kitchen Kaboodle for their wonderful selection and service!
Customer service?

Kitchen Kaboodle is a good place to go for gifts, but I always leave here feeling frustrated. They've got some good merchandise, but the NW store in particular is cluttered, almost to the point of being junky. That, and the customer service is nonexistant. Nobody ever asks me if I need help or is friendly in any way; they're not rude, they're just indifferent. I feel like a lot of their stuff is overpriced, too, even when it's on sale. I'll see the same things elsewhere for cheaper. But for some reason I keep shopping here. (The Broadway location is better.)
