Fantastic food and service on numerous visits over the last 3 years. Try the Pork Loin or Pot Roast and mashed potatoes - covered with a fresh Demi-Glace, NOT powdered gravy like you get at other places. Prime Rib, Oysters also great. Always a great meal, we've tried many items on the menu. Food selection and quality WAY above most pub-style restaurants. Outdoor seating nice, indoor seating a bit crowded.

Pros: Amazing Food, Good Beers, Great service

We where on in Portland August 10-20, visiting our son. We went to Portland Brewing Company one night. It was a wonderful dinner. Everything was great. With the big choice of restautants in Portland we choice to go back to Portland Brewing Company our last night in town. Great Place.

Pros: lots of food, pleasant people, great parking

This is my absolute FAVORITE brew pub in Portland. The beer is wonderful and so is the atmosphere!

Pros: GREAT BEER!, Wonderful atmosphere

Cons: Far out of the way

The unique and refreshing adult beverages along with a relaxing atmosphere compliment what I believe to be the best fries in Portland. The 25 minute drive from West Linn is the only objection. However, it hasn't stopped our family from at least making a monthly journey to our FAVORITE!

They are extremely under-staffed and the service is THE WORST. Our waitress asked for drink orders 15 minutes after we sat down. Se didn't return until 15 minutes after that with our first round. We won't go back. For burgers and beer, this is definitely not worth it. Then, I was telling a friend about our bad experience and he said he was at the BAR trying to order a sandwich and was ignored for almost 45 mintues. Screw it.

PBC is the best brewpub in Oregon, hands down. Brewpubs come and go, usually because they forget they are not just a brewpub, they are also a restaurant so they need to have good food and service in addition to good beer. The Tap Room at PBC delivers the goods in all respects. Both service and food have steadily improved over the years. The ambience is fabulous and the menu is interesting. You won't find just greasy pizza or mediocre pub food like you do at some of the other guys. For me, the Tap Room is a quintessential PDX gastronomical experience. It is one of the first places I like to take my out of town guests.

Pros: Great Food, Great Service, Great Beer

The Portland Brewing Co. combines Beer, Food, & Atmosphere to create an island oasis within industrial NW Portland. The dining is four-stars without the four-star pricetag.

Pros: Value, Inexpensive

Portland Brewing Company is terrific---wonderful beers and great food at reasonable prices. Try the onion and apple tart! The atmosphere is great also, especially the room with the fireplace. Service is a bit iffy---really nice waiters/waitresses but overworked at busy times of the day so service can be slow. Otherwise, two thumbs up!

I have enjoyed myself at the Portland Brew Co everytime I've been there. Great beer, especially when cask conditioned and good pizza. What makes it even better is that my friends & I go into the "no kids" room- ahh perfection. While it is kid friendly, there is that haven for those of us without rugrats. Always good service and great beer. Gets a little messy, but I can't think of anywhere I'd rather sip a brew then the porch outside. To bad there isn't more around the area to look at.

Pros: Great beer, good pizza, cool spot

Cons: parking(surprise!), kid area downstairs

A Northwest brewpub relaxed enough to accommodate both families and the after-work crowd.  See the full editorial review.
