After I read the Oregonian article about how the multi-millionaire owners use deportation tactics with their help the food that I previously enjoyed left a kick to my somach and a bad taste to my integrity. If you enjoy this place then one is really going to enjoy the North Korean Presidential cuisine coming to Portland in late 2009.

  • Pros: Great Food
  • Cons: Loss of Dignity

Great food. Lots of flavor. Not super fast but I mentioned it to our server and they said they would hurry it up. They were allowing us time to talk to each orher. In their defence we should have said we were pressed for time. Once mentioned our food came promptly. Everything was tasty.

  • Pros: Flavorful.

I hadn't been a big fan of Thai food before. But a friend kept trying to convince me to check out Typhoon. I am glad I did. It's now one of my top two favorite restaurants in all of Portland. Love it!!! Incredible flavor in every dish.

  • Pros: Flavor in every dish. Unique creations.
  • Cons: Can't think of any.

This place is a staple of Portland Thai food. They've got multiple locations, but this one in NW is one I've had trouble with. The food is perfect, but expensive. During Happy Hour, I found the appetizers to be uninspired. In fact, my egg rolls were just microwaved- they were still frozen in the middle.

This Thai restaurant is very trendy in downtown. The service is good and they have good lunch specials. They also have a great bar, happy hour is a must.

The food at Typhoon is colorful and well prepared. Some entrees are also works of Art.

Their Cocktail menu is creative with many Asian and Tea inspired Cocktails.

And their Tea Menu if the largest that I know of in Portland. If you are a Tea afficianado.... you must stop in to Typhoon for the Tea.

The appetizsers are delightful. Their Pad Thai is good.... but dishes like their deep fried Halibut aqre magnicifent. This is a more elegant version of Thai than many of the other Thai restaurants throughout the USA.

  • Pros: GREAT TEA LIST

It's worth trying out if you are in Portland and like Thai cuisine, especially on a moderate budget.

  • Cons: not responsive to customer problems; hair in food

Have been to the Everett location a few times, and the food has been consistently good. Appetizers (get the nibble platter) are great, and the entrees have been consistently good. I don't know what's up with Gresham location. Went there for take-out, and the service was awful. Unhelpful and inattentive. Thankfully, the food was still good.

  • Pros: Food, service (at Everett location)
  • Cons: Typical parking problems on NW 23rd.

I am new to the area and have had a hard time finding good thai restaurants and this one surprised me with how good it is. I've only been once but loved the chicken cashew. They also have a full bar which most thai restaurants don't have. I will definitely be going back here. It is a little spendy than most, but well worth it.

  • Pros: good food, hip atmosphere, full bar
  • Cons: a little pricey

If you find our food expensive, try our Happy Hour menu! We have Happy Hour at all our locations except Everett. Our Happy Hour menu has many great selections for, CHEAP! :)
