Wow, the Doctors are always late. They made my wife feel like a peace of meat, and haven't helped her much at all, but what really makes it feel uncomfortable is that they have an administrator named Alicia that is very rude. She doesn't mean to be, but naturally comes off tart and acts as if you are a pain her her butt. Furthermore she talks to the other staff members like they are dysfunctional children. The whole waiting room overheard her and we all felt awkward and bad for her fellow employee. That stuff needs to stay behind closed doors. That woman needs to find work at Walmart.......

SAVE YOUR MONEY! My visit with Dr. Bremner was worthless. Perhaps med school was too boring and caused so much debt, that all doctors care about nowadays is their $$$. She came into the room and when I asked questions about how my medication she recommended works, she said "it's complicated," therefore dismissing my question which was left unanswered. She also made claims inferring that the reason I'm visiting, acne, was not a "real" problem and that I would have to make another longer appointment to get more questions answered. Really??

Don't waste your time or money on this "professional help." I expected to leave comfortable and satisfied but was completely the opposite. I felt I wasted her precious time and that she was acting like she was paying me to come in.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. I have severe actinic keratosis (pre-cancer) on my lip. I waited for over an hour for Dr. Adler. When he finally came into the room, Dr. Adler spent approximately 30 seconds with me in my appointment. Not only did he dismiss me, he also gave made incorrect information about how to treat my lip. I have been in agony for the past week, and Dr. Adler completely dismissed my condition. Thank goodness I talked to another doctor. Dr. Adler should NOT be rated among the best doctors in Portland. He is awful.

Great Experience: Exceeded Expectations. As a health care provider myself, I am generally suspicious of these MD review sites, as often those who post negative comments have bigger issues that have nothing to do with their actual appointment. The docs cannot answer back negative criticisms because it would be a violation of patient privacy. But, that said, a good review should be shared!

I had my first visit today with Dr. Adler. The receptionists were friendly, ready to help me right away, and flexible when it turned out I didn't have my insurance card with me. No sooner did I sit down to complete my paperwork, and I was being called into the exam room.

The room was clean, the medical assistant was professional. Dr. Adler arrived within 5 minutes of me getting into the exam room.

He did a skin exam that was very thorough (more thorough than I've ever had before). He addressed my skin complaints and discouraged me jumping to expensive treatments like laser, etc until I had tried some more basic treatments that he felt would solve my problem without costing a fortune!

I was very impressed and will definitely go back.

Very unprofessional and unhelpful.. When I first arrived for my appointment, I was not greeted...the receptionist did not even look up. She was texting someone. When she did finally call me up the process was pretty easy, I registered as a new patient and waited to be called.

When I got into the exam room, the nurse asked me if I would like to have a full skin exam since I was a new patient--I agreed.

So, there I sat for about 20 minutes, naked, in an exam gown waiting for Dr. Resnick. When she finally arrived in the room, she asked why I was here to see her. I explained my problem and she looked me over very briefly and told me that it was nothing and that I just needed to moisturize. Okay???? As for the skin exam, she looked on my arms, which were mentioned in my problem areas and my legs, she mentioned some mild acne on my face and that was it. There was no exam.

She gave me some over the counter samples and sent me on my way. She seemed very rushed and was very dismissive. This appointment was total waste of my time. I saw my primary care dr. and they ACTUALLY treated me....imagine that. I thought going to a specialist was the right thing to do....maybe it is....just not here.

If I could give this place and that dr., no stars, I would.

Flexible Appointments!!!. I have had patient visits with both Dr. Alexander and Dr. Bremner; the patient care was extremely professional and efficient. I thought that I kept having a bad allergic reaction to something I was eating; but it turned out to be Psoriasis. I've been inaccurately diagnosed for the last year. Both proved to listen to my problem and ask a lot of questions to make sure they understood the details. If it wasn't for their high standards of patient care, I'd probably still be battling my skin problem. Thank you! Note- the staff were extremely friendly and helpful; I didn't feel rushed or ignored one bit.

Always helped me out!. I have very sensitive skin. I have seen 3 of the doctors at this practice and they have all been very helpful. They were able to immediately identify pityoriasis rosea and cure various other small skin issues. One of the best testaments I know of to their skill lies in the experience my mother had there. She had a pre-cancerous spot "removed" by Patricia Norris (another dermatologist in town). As it turns out, Patricia did not remove it all. She went to get a second opinion at Portland Dermatology and they removed the rest of it as well as scheduled multiple checkups to make sure it was all gone. These folks are more than proficient and I could possibly owe the health of my beloved mother to them. Love this place!

Dermatologists with experience. Portland Dermatology Clinic gets a gold star in my book and I have spent many hours in reception areas waiting to receive medical care. The staff was friendly, took time to make sure I understood the care I would be receiving. The physician I saw was friendly, warm and offered alternatives to better care for my chronic skin condition. I would highly recommend!

An excellent physician and board certified dermatologist. My wife and myself have been patients of Dr. Michael Adler for the past five years. At every visit he reviews past history and provides a detailed examination. He is very personal and professional.

Waste of time and money. I have had moderate acne for 16 years and have tried everything under the sun to clear it up. My condition has become worse over the last 2 years so I decided to see a dermatologist. I was referred to the Portland Dermatology Clinic and I was truly disappointed with my visit. After a RN took a very brief history of my skin problems, Dr. Rebecca Bremner entered the room. She spent all of 5 minutes talking to me, assuring me at first that even though my acne bothered me, other people probably couldn't even see it. What? Are you serious? Then she proceeded to tell me she was putting me on oral antibiotics and I should use a Benzoyl Peroxide face wash and Cleocin T, a topical antibiotic, all of which I have tried numerous times to no advantage. I tried to explain my poor history with antibiotics to her, but she was clearly already thinking about her next appointment. She made her escape, leaving me with a petty explanation of why Retina A would not work on my acne. She had her nurse write the prescriptions and I left the clinic $100.00 poorer and fairly upset. I had been looking forward to this appointment for almost a month, and not only am I disappointed, I feel taken advantage of. Dr. Bremner was not interested in listening to my medical history or discussing other acne treatments. I would not recommend seeking quality care from her.
