I love the humane society for their kind work in helping strays animals. Last week, i took my son there to adopt a kitten. The facility there was much better than i thought. Usually, when think of animal i would expect stinking smell, nasty cages, etc. But no, everything was so neat and they're all very tidy. It mus be really hard to keep it that way with a bunch of animal. Because i have allergy, the vet there advise us what kind of kitten shed the least and what kind of fur most likely to trigger my allergy. I have no idea there was such a thing! how wonderful is it? My son's kittn doesn't have a name yet but it's really cute.

Purebreds, mutts, puppies, kittens, rabbits, ducks, rodents--young and old, the Humane Society has them all for adoption.
OHS is a worthy charity

In the past six years alone I've adopted three dogs from the Oregon Humane Society. The new shelter on Columbia boulevard is pleasent for both the animals looking for a new home and the humans looking for an animal companion. The staff and volunteers make sure the person looking to adopt an animal will be able to properly care for it. If you're looking to add a dog or cat to your household the OHS should be your first stop.
- Pros: clean, good parking, non-euthanizing
