I have been going to Tan Body off and on for about 8-9 years and love it. I've taken a year off here and there and every time I go back I feel like I was there only a few weeks before. The owner is a hoot, but you have to have a sense of humor to enjoy yourself there. If you want a clean place to tan, I've never found a place cleaner, and with character too! It's like a family for the folks who work there and sometimes if you have to wait for your tanning bed, you can get lucky and feel like part of the family, too!
Pros: Clean, fun
Cons: small parking lot

I found this place on here after checking out a couple overpriced and cheesy salons, and the good reviews encouraged me to stop by. Was glad I did. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable, prices are very good, everything was clean and no-nonsense but definitely with a local "Portland" feel to it. Highly recommended.
Pros: Friendly and interesting staff, relaxed atmosphere, clean, etc
Cons: None, but it's a good idea to book ahead if you go in the evening

This is the greats little coffee shop in Portland check it out you will love it. I have been going here for 3 years and not find a better plase.

I frequent this establishment because of the relaxed atmosphere and the overall quality of the products/services. Some of the funniest things I have ever heard have come from the employees' mouths. Every day that I visit, there is something interesting to talk about. Employees build relationships with clients so everyone is always really friendly. The quality of the tanning beds is exceptional. Great care is taken to make sure that customers get what they pay for. Wide variety of coffee and other drinks to choose from. Excellent location (6210 NE Sandy). I can't even begin to describe my overall satisfaction. Bottom line: Excellent service, Friendly and knowledgable staff, and definately a good time every time. A++++!!!!

The queen-bee owner is bitchin in all the right ways. If you can't handle their style, then maybe you better go home to mommy and check the dictionary for the word "sarcasm." If you have any kind of a personality, then I highly recommend this place for it's up front honesty, integrity, humor, and entertainment. I haven't tried the coffee yet, but I hear it's great. I was also impressed with how sanitary the whole place was. The tanning beds are strong so you definately get your money's worth. The only thing that could have made it better was a pina colada.

I've been going to Tan Body for a couple of years now. I think it is a great little local place with great coffee drinks, a wonderful massage therapist, and an owner with character. There's lots of local frequenters that go here and the atmosphere is friendly. Occassionally you will catch someone working having a bad day, but they're great 99 percent of the time.

DO NOT GO HERE, PLEASE! The staff is rude and incompetent. Not only when I called to find out services they said "Not interested" and HUNG UP on me but they are just rude and moronic. Save your money and go elsewhere. If they can't even answer simple questions over the phone, why trust them with your hide?
