I was truly amazed to find this gem of a place, nested into the industrial area of SE Portland. I learned later that this is now called the 'Designer's District', but it was not really apparent until I walked around to several other businesses nearby. But, back to Cline Glass. It's very home-spun, no pretentious clerks,no put downs if you aren't wearing your fake diamonds. This place is one where you grab a bag of popcorn, or a piece of fruit, and browse to your heart's content. John was especially helpful to me when I was in. Portland should be proud to have a business like this one and I was told it is over a century old!
Pros: Terrific selection, fun and funky place to shop and dream of art projects!
Cons: Parking in this neighborhood is awful--the CITY OF PORTLAND needs to build some parking structures!
