I took my husband for brunch and there is a big variety, we loved it , price was great and service was fast , there were a few people there at the tail end of brunch and people outside too. I do think this place is underrated because each plate looks so good and you can figure out what you will want to order the next time you go, so brunch was successful! We took my mom for lunch (she lives on coast) the following week she loved lunch too. I had 1/2 of buffalo burger and 1/2 shrimp po'boy (made husband 1/2 with me) I would say we will be going back a few more times until we've had everything on the menu . we will try dinner soon too. I have seen this place all the time im glad we tried it! it will be one of our fav places, so far the hashbrowns are sooo good , french fries the good comfort kind and shrimp po'boys are crunchy juicy shrimp , best pancakes!

Pros: price/ food/service/ the staff are very friendly

Cons: lot should be bigger but parking ok

I'd never been there, and I won't be going back- the food was awful. A decent beer selection is the only redeeming value. I had the Red White & Blue lasagna- veggies, marinara, ricotta, alfredo, and blue cheese, supposedly. I saw a single slice of mushroom, couldn't see or taste the alfredo or blue cheese. I tasted ricotta once. The garlic bread was tasty, but what I was supposed to do with a pile of dry spinach on the plate, I don't know. I ate less than half of the portion and felt *oof* full but unsatisfied. I didn't even want a glass of wine before bed. My husband had the BBQ brisket, which was no better. The BBQ sauce wasn't BBQ, the brisket was tough, and the potatoes were clumpy. The buffalo wings were okay- good flavor, but not buffalo wing flavor or seasonings, and not spicy. The service was good, the beer selection was respectable, but I can get that elsewhere with much better food.

I love Madison's Grill. My husband and I eat there regularly. The wait staff has always been friendly and attentive, even when we've had groups of 15 or more. The menu is extensive and there's something for everyone, even the vegetarians. We love the Blackened Ahi and the halibut filets, and the bento is always a great choice, and my son insists I mention the Bacon and Bleu Cheeseburger! When we recently held my husband's birthday party upstairs, the catered buffet was wonderful and the servers made sure everyone was happy and had a great time. Kudos to Steve and everyone at Madison's Grill.

Pros: Parking, Catering, the Deck!

Cons: Smoking allowed on the deck

good beer selection, but the happy hour menu app's are typical, uninspired and tasteless. Especially the chicken quesadilla - tasteless chicken and way too much cheese, no flavor. The 'homemade' salsa that came with it was as tasteless as the quesadilla, and was dried out old cubed tomato and maybe 1 onion cube. We also got hard to F up nachos, but they also sucked, flavor was dominated by canned black olive taste... Atmosphere is great, cozy and the server was awesome and friendly, but the food... sigh, so boring and tasteless... There is SO much better food in this town....

Pros: service, clean and comfortable

Cons: kinda like TGIFriday's inside, food was tastless and forgettable (I'm trying anyway)

I was turned on to Madison's by a friend and have quickly become a loyal fan. I can see why they have regulars who can't stop coming back for more! I have never had a meal there that I haven't liked, and I eat there quite regularly! The portions are large, the food is comforting and there is an array of choices--I like that they have classic favorites, but also focus on cuisine for the health-conscious. Great beer selections, too, with more than 16 microbrews on tap! They have one of the longest happy hours in town that I've come across... The ambiance is perfect for a business lunch, date or after-hours mixer. Very friendly staff! The owner Steve is often present and very friendly/informative, too. I bring all my friends here and they've all loved it too! Keep up the good work :)

Pros: Friendly, engaging staff; large portions, delicious food, outdoor patio

Cons: NONE!

I have been here before and had a good time, but I didnt remember the food being so terrible. My girlfriend ordered the roasted veggie wrap, and instead of getting roasted veggies she got some cold pickled carrots, onions, and asparagus wrapped in a cold flour tortilla. The waitress was kind enough to get us something else, when we complained but the second item wasnt much better. I also got the veggie nachos but they were a big plate of stale nachos with burnt cheese and a few beans. The Proud Mary, their signature bloody mary is awesome but pretty spendy at 6 bucks and has very little alcohol in it. Im not sure what happened, maybe they got a new cook or something.

Every now and then, I get a hankering for something straight-forward, dependable, and flexible. That's Madison's-- most anyone I know can find something to eat, they're open for dinner later in the evening but don't have an overt bar crowd. Potato soup is delicious and some high quality french fries (steak fry style). Sitting outside is great in warm weather-- sitting upstairs and playing a game of pool is nice and can be intimate (esp during the week). Weekend brunch is great!! Servers have been very friendly.

I seem to be finding some good spots lately. This place has the character you would expect in the Hawthorne district. Not much of a view, but the pub grub is good and the beer is excellent. atmosphere is cozy but allows for privacy on dates. The upstairs has a TV for games and pool if you want a place for a group to meet.

Pros: value, service, pub grub

Cons: nothing fancy/upscale, just down to earth

I recently had a 60th birthday event here for 90 people. Steve, the owner, was great to work with. We had a no-host bar, managed by Sam and Kelli. They kept things running smooth, attended to any requests, and were very friendly. People at the event kept raving to me about the room setup, the food, and the decorations in the banquet room (set up for the Saturday dinner theater right now). Highly recommend this place for events, and for catering. We'll definately be back to try their regular menus as well.
