Rude Staff / Long Wait
by ellendexter1
My friend and I tried to have lunch at Paradox this past Sunday. However, after waiting 17 minutes by the door we left. We signed in on the little clip board, and we saw three vacant tables and four empty seats at the bar. None of the staff so much as greeted us or anything! I am not sure why were not allow ed to seat ourselves at the bar, but the staff kept chatting away cheerfully with other customers at the bar. I don't mind waiting for service, but at least say hello and acknowledge my presence! Maybe my friend and I weren't dressed hip enough?

Always great and creative fare. However the staff is sullen to the point of rudeness. I guess I should look on the bright side - no need to tip. Seriously, they have a bad attitude problem, almost resentful at having to deal with customers.
- Pros: inventive, delicious, wholesome food
- Cons: service with attitude
Not organic! Laden with chemicals and GMOs
by CSMobileUser3
Not organic. Service was very good, but no commitment to non-gmo, staff was not knowledgeable of source of ingredients. Didn't eat the food, too crappy and made with inferior ingredients like gmo canola oil, gmo soy, gmo cheese, etc. Trying, but not hard enough. Go to Papa G's
Best Food in The South East! Great Service!
by gnarwal
THe Bennedict is the best in town. If you don't want breakfast try the Veggie Philly they have is big and good for lunch or dinner. THe salads are cheaper than buying one at a organic grocery store. we Went on a week night and weekend. The weeknight the server was extremely accomidating with a special diet I have and the food came very quickly. The weekend was quick for the line they had. The food was amazing the servers were accomidating and kind, and got the food out as quickly as humanly possible. Worth the wait !!!!
- Pros: good cheap organic food, cleaner than it was a few years ago. looks like a 50's diner
- Cons: lines on sunday. just relax it's worth the wait ! ! ! small groups under 7
Who knew it was Vegan??
by NandJarrod
I love the new addition to this amazing place. It feels roomy and airy. The yellow walls make you feel at home. And the food...wow! I just started eating vegan and was a little nervous about the tofu, soy ingredients. I am no longer concerned. I had the Fake Philly and I could have sworn it was the real thing. And I have had philly's on South Street in Philly. The teas are great as well. I am planning on having dinner and breakfast at the Paradox at least once a week. This is a place that you crave! It could turn even my meat loving father into a Vegan...
- Pros: Yummy food and the prices
- Cons: Service a little slow
Vegetarian Heaven!
by michellebeth
Lots and Lots of choices on the menu! I've loved everything I've had there. The tamales are not traditional but still delicious. They make really good tex-mex dishes like the mexi-scramble and the tamales. I'm from Texas and miss good spicy texmex but Paradox nails it. They have something for every taste...thai inpired, italian, american, etc. I don't recomend the veggie burger. It's a little too loosely packed as a patty. They do offer all beef patties for the non-veggers. If you're in a hurry to eat this is not the place. Also, there's always long waits on the weekends.
- Pros: Great Food
- Cons: long waits on weekends, slow paced service
Great vegan/organic options.

- Pros: food service
- Cons: parking
Service was great!

The deluxe green salad is big, and has a nice variety of veggies (I recall at least 8 or 9 types); the sesame-peanut dressing is also very good. And my waitress was perfectly amiable.
- Pros: good veggies, nice server
- Cons: I'd prefer cheaper, but I can't complain
Great vegan options!

I love going to places where I do not have to drill the wait staff about what is in their food. Paradox Cafe makes great vegan stuff. I love the artichoke dip and the lasagna. I have never been dissapointed here. Great prices too!
- Pros: Lasagna and artichoke dip
Best breakfast EVER!
by alisha1983
Whenever my friend asks if I want to go to breakfast with him I don?t even bother asking where we are going, it?s always the Paradox. It?s amazing and anyone who doesn?t think so is out of their mind. I usually get the #3 (which you get $1 off if you are there before 10 during the week) with tofu, French toast, and potatoes crispy .He usually gets #2 curry style. I also love the artichoke dip. The tempeh gyro is good, the soup is good, everything?s good. A very non vegan friend of mine had the sloppy Joes and ended up licking the plate (literally). And the servers are incredibly patient, even at 8 am when I wasn?t suppose to be up till 10 am.
- Pros: Everything
- Cons: Too far from my place.
