If you like Cajun/New Orleans-style food, it is a good place. They wrap your to-go orders in foil shaped like different things. Hush-puppies were yummy
I effing love this place. I've been going here for seven years or so... The wait staff is still the same. The menu is the same. They've added a bar. The drinks are awesome/strong, and everything is made in house. The Spold Mac is my favorite. The oyster shooters are the best I've had anywhere (OYYSSTTTTTEEERRRRSSSS!). 1/2 bottles of wine on Monday/Tuesday (I think). The cook staff look like sexy pirates (and one even asked me out ;), and you'll see flames shooting out from the kitchen. People love to complain about the staff - well, their aloof, I-don't-give-a-$hit about you demeanor only adds to the experience. LOVE this place and so should you. Don't date the cooks, though.…
Food Great! SERVICE SUCKED!!. To the server of our table of 12 last night: You know who you are, you big nosed, bearded arshole. You're a Class A douche. I don't think I've ever seen someone act with such smug dumbassness as you. I even made up the word dumbassness to express a newfound unhappiness I've discovered within the food service industry. You sucked. Period. The food rocks, but bearded guy with the big nose, you sucked. Bad. Hey management: Fire this dude. Yesterday. Beard, big nose, no smile, no personality, impatient.…
Prefect Date Night.
Five stars hands down! I have never had bed service and enjoy waiting for a table. (Meaning it's great for food) So go grab a drink and relax! Worth the few minutes of realxing some may call a wait!
No Cons! Its all Love!…
Rude hipster servers are a part of the charm!!!!. Been here a few times and the food is good, not great. I dig the lounge/bar staff. The wait staff in the restaurant are almost a caricature of the WORST of Portland. They are better than you and do not have a problem letting you know. All orders come with a side of disdain. Once they are all recognized as creative geniuses they are all moving to the Village or Europe where they don't have to deal with your pedestrian capitalism. I have a chef friend who says they gave her food poisoning but I myself have a ironclad immune system so I dunno.…
Good Food, Horrible Service.. I haven't been here for over 3 years and there's a good reason. The food is good, not great. The atmosphere is that of Portland, and I like that too. Even the end part, where they wrap up your food is fun and keeps Portland Weird. The service on the other hand is horrific! A few friends and myself went there for our 4th time, over 3 years ago and had a bad run in with a nasty rude server. It started off taking 10 minutes to be recognized by her. Next we ordered our food, which didn't take too long and we ate. We then sat and waited for 25 minutes before she came back and handed us the check. It wasn't busy that night. In fact we watched her talk to her co-worker for about 10 minutes of the time we were waiting for our check. She finally comes around after not refilling any drinks, and only asking us once if everything was all right to give us our check. The check ran at $42 for 4 of us. We thought, "eh, we'll give her 10% because she may be having an off night." She comes back to pick up the check, looks at it, sees that there's only $4.10 for her tip, turns around to us and says "Thanks a lot guys" in an extremely angry tone and throws the spare check back at our faces and storms off. Never again will I dine here.…
The best anniversary ever. Last night Saturday my husband and I went out to celebrate our 11 th anniversary and all was greatvenUe had the gator bites for appetizer and they were delicious, and even exceeded our expectations, I had the jambalaya with craw fish and scallops the best. All flavors blended together like something out of this world, my Husband had the Craw fish etoufe and it was also great. Overall the food was great the waitresses were a some, Kathleen was our waitress and was the best. Since we happen to mention our anniversary she went a step ahead and gave us desert words couldn't explain how out night was the best. Thank you for your great customer service, we will return again.…
This place is awesome. Who would have thought Mac & Cheese could be this good.
Always the place to go. Great food, great deal, great people. You feel like you have stepped into another time when you dine at Le Bistro Montage. And boy do you dine! The only way I could list what is good there would be to post the whole darn menu for you. Last time we were there I had the alligator salad and the flat iron steak so I can say it is the best. Time before? Spicey mac and cheese, the best! The only thing I have never saved room for is the gooey yellow cake I swear I will try next time...again. Leftovers served in various animal shapes. So nostalgic I wanted to cry. Its a must go spot!…
Waste of resources., But good food. The to go containers waste too many resources with the packaging. The tin foil is fun, but the layers of tin foil and plastic underneath was not so fun. Felt like a waste of packaging. I enjoy the food but the attitude makes me not want to dine there.…
