This listing is dreadfully innaccurate in so many ways. There are a lot of major mistakes in the company info including a description and graphic stolen from the CAL SKATE website.

Pharmacy is where it's at. They just moved to an awesome new location right next door to the Dept. of Skateboarding (my other most favorite spot in Portland). They have always been the place to go for skateshoes. But with the new spot, they have even more shoes and clothes than ever before and a board wall that is two stories tall! It is worth going just to see that! But most of all I love that the guys who run it and work there are all real skaters who love skateboarding and know what's up. Plus they are all really friendly and helpful and happy to put a board together or change wheels over for anyone.
Pros: Best Selection in Town, Next to an Indoor Skatepark, Carry Nike SB
Cons: None

Where do I start? My name is Howard Weiner and I have owned and operated Cal Skate Skateboards in downtown Portland since 1976. This shop not only has taken my good name they also have our logo on this site. Our shop is at 210 N.W. 6th Ave. in Old Town Portland and we have served the skateboarding cummunity both in legalizing skating and buiding a system of 19 skateparks which are now being built thruout the city. I can't say how disapointed I am in these folks and the confusion they have caused. You decide for yourself but first come on in and check us out and then check these folks and make up your own mind. Take Care all and thanks for your support.
Pros: indoor park
Cons: bad attitude

They were even nice enough to build an indoor skate park for Portland (The Dept.)! The Pharmacy sells the best gear, at the best prices, with the best selection AND the best customer service! They even care enough to have a great pro team (snowboarding and skateboarding). If you would rather buy some cheap crap from a frat boy who knows nothing about skate and snowboarding, go to Copeland's and support corporate America.
Pros: great product, great service, free parking
Cons: small girl's section

Pharmacy rules! They have everything! ..and they are super nice too. They always put my board together for me and fix my broken king pins and stuff. I love going there! It's my favorite shop ever!
Pros: They have EVERYTHING!, Easy to get to, Good prices on stuff.
Cons: NONE!

The workers are helpful. All you need to do is to muster up some courage and ask. Very informative for the beginner skater/snowboarder. They'll give you an honest opinion, rather than a comment to sell product. If you are looking for something and it's not there. They'll order it for you.

This so called skateboard shop lacks greatly with the customer service. If you are looking for an "attitude", then this is the place. Plus, product knowlege is extremely low..especially on the snowboarding side. Too trendy.

Cals Pharmacy is by far the best skateshop in Portland. Forget that! It is the best anywhere! They've got all the best stuff and at the right price too. Everyone is super nice. I only shop at the Pharmacy. They know what's up.
Pros: IT'S THE BEST!!!
