Dinner without margaritas?!

We went here Saturday night around 9:30. We promptly ordered our drinks and entrees and received our margaritas in a timely manner. The food didn't arrive until after 10pm and when we asked for another round of margaritas the server said they were closed and couldn't serve any! Their website clearly states that Thurs-Saturday they are open until midnight (and even have a happy hour from 10pm-12am)! We weren't ever offered another round before they "closed" or even warned/informed that there was only 1/2 hour of service remaining! Very poor service, no apology and we were not even offered a nonalcoholic beverage substitute! Seriously, what's mexican food without tequila or a beer?! We would have left if we weren't starved. I have never written a negative review before but since I found this place on this website I felt obligated to warn future patrons. I will never go back.

So So Service

I have gone to Dingo's on several occasions. The only reason I go back is the food. Some nights the service is horrible, other nights it is ok. I went the other night, and the waitress never refilled our water nor did she bother to ask us if we would like more chips. The only words she spoke were asking us what we wanted to drink and eat. Did not even ask if our food was ok, or if we needed anything else. Terrible waitress!

Great upper-Hawthorne eats!

Food was great - try the lime chicken enchilada - yum! Margaritas were moderatley strong, and pricey. I thought the food values were great. Service was a bit strained, but we were there on Memorial Day and it was pretty packed so it was understandable. We got more chips & water as soon as our basket & glasses were empty. I'll definitely go back!

too cool to be any good

The Portland Urban Legend of infernally crappy wait service was kept alive and well by our too-cool-to-be-bothered-by-a-mere-customer waitress. Blech!

Food was so-so, drinks were inconsistent, the bill still way too high for the experience.

If only Ole Ole would get a full liquor license, we'd all be spared the reverse class wars of trendy restaurants like Dingo's.

Lunch time at Dingos

Went for lunch with a 3 yr. old and a 12 yr. old on a Sat. around 2:30 and there was no trouble with seating for four. Not much to offer the 3 year old but 12 yr. old enjoyed his steak enchilada. The halibut taco was fishy and the steak taco was okay. Soup of the day (chili chicken corn chowder) was excellent. Chips and salsa were okay, but nothing special. Really good service. Not sure if we'll go back.

Yummy

Been coming here since before the new owners and what an improvement. The food is not the average mexican and the menu is quite extensive. Speaking of the food, it is usually above average but sometimes little details are missing but I am almost never dissapointed. The sevice is usually above average and the drinks are always good. Watch out for Thursday night's if you in a hurry (lady's night).

• Pros: moderately priced, nice menu, good drinks
• Cons: no homemade chips

Horrible Service

The only thing that's good about this place is that they have outdoor seating and that the drinks are good. I personally think the food is sort of bland and not worth the trouble. I went there and it took me nearly 45 minutes to get my food.
