Sayler's Old Country Kitchen
No-frills eatery serves up giant steak in a setting so laid-back, it seems like a family room.

This is my inlaw's family favorite! Hands down. We have celebrated anniversaries, birthdays, engageents and new baby's here. The steaks are always cooked to prefection and the veggie plate even satisfies the veggies of the family.
You cannot leave this restaurant feeling hungry. Not with all the extras you get and no meal is complete with a side order of the onion rings. But here is a warning! Don't order a "full order" unless you have whole family to help you eat them.
- Pros: large parking lot, go early wekends
- Cons: no reservations

How can I rate it with zero stars? It was the worst $100 meal with the poorest service I have ever had in my life.
- Pros: the wine was decent
- Cons: everything else

We have made Sayler's a meeting place for reunions with friends from Seattle whenever they come to town. The food is always good and plentiful. Families are welcome. The staff is friendly and well trained.
Love the onion rings!!!!

I love going to this place for my birthday. They have outstanding steaks. The prices are a bit high, but you really get what you pay for. Come early as they don't take reservations.

Since Beaverton closed my mother-in-law has missed her ribeye from OCK. So I decide to take her out to Stark for a treat.
It was last Monday night and the place is slow. The hostess never said a word to us she just grabbed menus and started walking to a booth. Sorry to put you out of your way from talking to the busboy who was leaning on the counter.
Once we sat down I could see that we also had a waitress that was not having the best of days No hi how's it going just a what do you want tonight. But what the heck I came to let my mother-in-law have a good piece of rib eye.
The relish plate comes out with hot bread and the garlic butter and as it has been forever a good way to start. Next the salads, When we asked about a few more slices of bread she said most wait for the dinner to come out . Oh ok we will wait. The steak comes out and as always All very good.
The only problem I see other than grumpy staff is that from my vantage point I can see inside the kitchen and I noticed many of the waitresses playing with their hair and touching up the makeup right where the food comes out.
Maybe this was a off night for the staff. It is not what I have known of Saylers for the last 50 years.
On their site they say: We stand by our old-fashioned commitment We are here to serve you.
They need to remind the staff.
- Pros: The sound of the steak when it comes out
- Cons: Service was not what it has been in the past

I love Sayler's, their steak is amazing and the atmosphere quiet and classy. Whenever I want a nice evening out they are my choice, I've never had a bad time!

We were sorry to see the one in Beaverton close but the Stark Street location is still great even though not as convenient. The steaks here are great along with anything else you order. The staff is friendly and service is good.

Great steak house that started as a small diner and is now a fine food establishment. They don't take reservations, so go early. Great steaks and service. My husbands favorite steak house.

We took some friends visiting from Ca here last week. It was very fun, there were three couples and all we Santa's from different areas.
All of meals were great, service was awesome as always. It is wonderful to have a place that you can count on to bring folks to that are not from around here.
- Pros: Great Food, Great Waiters and Waitresses, GREAT Cooks!
- Cons: Not taking reservations...
