DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. We ordered the Pizza Co Supreme and got the most bland, flavorless, freezer burnt pizza we've ever tasted. We left half of it on the table. Ingredients were unripe and served anyway. Paper thin crust and sauce were like eating tomato paste on crackers. Hot wings were, as the very kind server described, "precooked and pre-spiced...sorry we don't have sauce but there's tobasco on the table". Dry wings. Service was very slow but everyone behind the counter was very nice and helpful. I asked for a comment card and they don't have those there...We love pizza, live 2 min away and we'll NEVER go back there. Digiorno's makes a better pizza for less than half the price.

i am 42 years old and hgrew up till 5 in portland, now live in redmond or,,it doesnt matter if i or amyone i know goes to portland,i will have them bring me home a stark street thin crust pep/x-peperoni and a hawaiin, obviously 3-4 hours at soonest its cold when i get it but i will eat there pizza cold or warmed up,instead of buying pizza anywhere local,,,i worked at pietros when younger and there thin corn meal crust pizza was the same crust's stark street uses......i believe the diffrence is in ingriedients they use real pepperoni, when cooked it's about size of a quarter, and when u get your pizza the grease just rolls off.the best by far......even cold - a day later.........

Great service, great food!. This place was awesome! I really enjoyed the sandwich and soup. Best salad bar for the price. The staff accomodated our large group without any problems, and even got our complicated order right! Nice pizza too if you like corn meal crust. I don't, but everything else was so good it didn't matter!

Would give no stars on their pizza if I could!!!. Terrible, terrible, terrible! Spent $26. on a half/half pizza and got the worst pizza I have ever had. Although I ordered a family it was the size of a medium. Very light on the sauce and toppings. The crust was thin, dry and hard. Driving home I kept smelling a burnt smell. The bottom of the crust wasn't burnt but had black areas on the bottom. In tasting it it was like a frozen pizza. The crust had a burnt taste, as if they do not scrape down the ovens, it was so terrible and what a waste of $26.00!! I am going to call the manager today and see if I can get my money back (I saved the pizza to have him try) or get a decent pizza remade for my money.. I will repost the outcome here, but either way if this is the way they make pizza, don't waste your time or money here. Yes it's been around forever and is a landmark, but when your hungry for pizza and get a pizza like this, it's really disapointing.. . Stay tuned on info on how the manager handled the situation!!

Classic parlor atmosphere, classic style & taste.. My wife & I both grew up on Pietro's, and like many of the folks who are familiar with the classic style & taste of Pietro's pizzas, we tend to use that as a measuring stick against which all other pizzas must measure up. We've even been known to travel to Hood River or Milwaukie just to get our fix. But that was before we happened upon Stark Street Pizza, which still adheres to that classic pizza formula. It has since become our "old standby", and a staple of our diet.

We also like the dim lighting, the parlor decor, the player piano, and the "bouncer", an impressive taxidermied grizzly named "FuzzyWuzzy", which all add to that old-timey pizza parlor appeal.

Great Pizza!!. The quality of the pizza is fantastic. I am a huge fan of their thin crust pizza! It is tasty and comes with lots of toppings. While a bit pricey, it is well worth it. The only draw back is their sometimes slow service. Especially when it is busy. I agree that the pace does not pick up when needed. Even so, it is well worth the wait!

Don't do IT. You will regret it.. Looks like nobody has posted a review in 2010 for this establishment yet so here it is folks. In the evening hours of February 8th my family and I the unlucky guy that wasted $26.95 for an evening at S.S.P. ordered a Stark Street Special Pizza with the thick crust. While we waited a really long time to get our pizza we drank our Coke with a refillable glass which tasted bad. Clean those lines guys. Luckily it was refillable and we were able to grab a Sprite which was the only good part of the evening. Finally after waiting for about 45. minutes for the pizza we noticed upon taking those first bites it tasted like too much tomato paste with an over loading of cheese. During my second bite I noticed the peperoni was ok but the sausage tasted foul. My wife told me immediately that she thought it tasted bad. Our Son did not mind the soft crust ends but did not want to eat any other parts. After eating my second piece I was not happy with my experience and wanted to get my money refunded but they were hosting a Portland Winterhawks radio party and the place was too loud. Please note: we ordered the pie before all of the chaos. Also my wife is a chef at a local Thai food restaurant and she noticed that the cooking staff was not American because she is from overseas. She said," my issue with that is when it became busy nobody picked up the pace". Everybody was cooking in slow motion unlike her place of employment. To top off our experience my son woke up feeling sick the next morning. Come to think of it my stomach felt bad too. SSP you wont see us again.

Good Pizza, Great service. Not the best, but VERY GOOD, flavorful, a great thin crust pie. Will go there, again, when in Portland. The folks who gripe about canned mushrooms should read the menu. Fresh mushrooms are available upon request--at no extra charge. The staff was courteous, friendly, and quick.

The only better pizza that I've had, in years, is Sahara Pizza, in The Dalles. Stark St. Pizza is handy, to Holiday Inn Express, if you happen to stay there.
