I love this grease-ball place! The restaurant has a greasy, not so clean feel from the moment you walk in. But the food is fantastic! The kitchen may or may not pass inspection, but then again, my own kitchen might not either. The prices are so great that we can feed our family of 4 for under $15. Our favorites are the machaca burrito, carne asada soft taco and mexican rice.

I'm another convert - after our beloved El Burrito Loco was taken over, I needed somewhere else to get bricks of beans and beef. The place may look busy, but the line always moves quickly and I've yet to have them mess up an order (which is more than I can say for most burrito joints I've tried in Portland). Sure, the customer service may seem a bit terse (it might seem worse than it is if you don't speak a little Spanish)...but for the number of people they serve in a typical day, the quality and quantity of their ingredients, and the price...you can't go wrong. If you need A/C with your burrito, take it to go and sit in the car. As a bonus, they've also usually got Pepsi in glass bottles - the kind with real sugar instead of high fructose corn syrup. Extra double bonus - they're open until 11pm every day. If they ever added a delivery option I don't know if I'd ever make my own burritos again.
Pros: Big cheap burritos, quick service, Pepsi with real sugar, open late.
Cons: Take it to go if you need A/C or don't like Mexican music. Avoid getting trapped in their parking lot.

I went there last week and ordered a torta. My only complaint was that there was too much beans and their customer service left some to be desired but for the price you can't complain too much. There is also another mexican restaurant just east of king burrito with similar prices and their customer service is outstanding, but i don't see them on here.
Pros: Cheap food!
Cons: Customer service

After the tragic Burrito Loco overthrow of '07, King Burrito quickly ascended to my neighborhood favorite. Consistently good, cheap food.
Pros: they sell "Homies"!
Cons: they may soon be out of "Homies"!

I LOVE LOVE King Burrito. I am very critical of burritos, and King Burrito has the best bean burrito in town. Delicious Chimichanga and great prices.
Pros: Great food, good price, nice service
Cons: No fresh guacamole or beer

Cheap eats, friendly staff, and excellent burritos make King Burrito one of a limited number of taqueria's in North Portland. You can't beat the prices or the food.
Pros: Cheap and delicious
Cons: Not great for dining in

I came here for the first time last Friday and had the best burrito I've ever had. Really, ever. I had the Carnita burrito and it totally ruled. The meat was lean had a wonderful texture compared to the tasty beans and fresh guacamole. The seasoning was impeccable. It was only $3.25 and I was really full. The decor is what I would expect from a hole-in-the-wall burrito place, and it suits me fine. Anyone who complains about any aspect of the decor is in the wrong place and should cart their snooty self over to Taco Del Mar because they are an idiot.
Pros: Great burritos, fast service
Cons: Absolutely none

One of the nest fast food type mexican places. Dig into some chicken or king tacos for $1.25 each or go for one of the HUGE burritos for $3.50. Only downfall is that sometimes the meat can be a little fatty and they don't run any heat in the winter and no A/C in the summer.
Pros: GIANT BURRITOS, CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP, YUMMY
Cons: No heat, No AC

This local North Portland dive is our favorite Mexican restaurant to go to. It is cheap and tasty. The decor could use more than a fresh coat of paint and new flooring, but what can you expect from a place with big burros painted on the glass front entry? King Burrito always has a steady flow of traffic (people taking out and eating in). Try the super crunchy tostadas, rice and salsa (more like an ultra fresh pico de gallo). Yum Yum! My only complaint is this place doesn't have margaritas!
Pros: Cheap, Good Food
