Best Thin Crust Pizza in Oregon

by PiercePortland

The thin crust pizza is the best I've had. I particularly like the way the tomato sauce is spread to the edge, the ingredients are fresh, and the atmosphere is what I expect for a pizza parlor. Try the taco pizza for a unique yet surprisingly delicious pizza.

  • Pros: Best thin crust pizza around
  • Cons: Loud game center

pietros service

by pietrosworker

I am a cook at pietros and I know that on a weekend we don't have the fastest service but we're working hard. And on behalf of everyone we are deeply sorry if you've dealt with one of our workers when their having a bad day. We all have them there and we are only human and most of us are under the age of 21 and is our first job. We try to give you fast service and a good time so please cut us some slack and yes the price for our pizza is a little extreme but that's what the cost is and we have no say about it. And at that job even as a cook where I am away from everyone else I still get yelled at by customers all the time because one of the new employees made a mistake. If I had a dollar for everytime I'd be a rich woman by now. So understand that the job is hectic and bear with us.

Great Pizza ... Great Salad Bar

by bottomfisher

We come to Pietro's often for birthday parties. We like their pizza because it is not "gut bombish", rather it is a light pizza because of the very thin crust. The salad bar is excellent and we also enjoy the red wine. We probably spend more money on the games than the pizza because the kids love getting tickets from the games and turning them in for prizes. I am sure when the kids, aged 3 months to 14 grow up, they will have many fond memories of birthday parties with our large extended family group of 16 at Pietro's. The place has really become a landmark in Milwaukee, and there are lots of sports teams and car collector clubs that hold their meetings and banquets at Pietro's because of the large facility.

30 years of Great Pizza .. Best Crust in Portland Area

by chiapet66

We have been holding family birthday parties at Pietro's for over 30 years, we now celebrate our grandkids birthdays at Pietro's. We love the thin crust and the kids love the pizza and the game room. Great place to watch a game on TV also.

  • Pros: Great Crust and Fun Game Room
  • Cons: None... Have been enjoying Pietro's for 30 years

Perfect Pepperoni

by mrlwj

I have been eating pizza here for over 30 years and without any shadow of doubt the pepperoni is the best. Actually i usualy get a triple Pepperoni ( you cannot see the cheese).

The screaming kids are a pain but thats the parents fault. Because of the noise I get it to go and it is worth the 20 minute drive.

  • Pros: Pizza thats just plain great.
  • Cons: Loud kids and a loud play area.

Best pizza available

by ramirezi

kvansblue is absolutely delusional! Pietro's has always had the best pizza in the Pacific Northwest. If you enjoy Domino's or Pizza Hut junk, than maybe you won't enjoy pizza with flavor. The only cons about Pietro's are the high prices, loud obnoxious kids screaming and bouncing off the walls and the loud game section with some high pitched whistle. I can hear the tune in my head and it haunts me but this is a small, or in my case, big price to pay for the best pizza out there. Try to go as late as possible if you want to avoid the mad house. They close at 11pm most of the time.

  • Pros: The best pizza! Salad bar
  • Cons: The kids people bring and left unattended, game room, sometimes the workers ignore people on purpose

Great atmosphere and service

by bbboy

My wife and I stopped in yesterday for dinner and we enjoyed a great meal with quick and good service. The place had a great feel, was clean, had great pizza and at reasonable prices. I am not sure why the previous reviewer had issues. We did not experience anything of the sort. Perhaps the reviewer was looking for Chez' Pietro's? We dine out quite a bit and I have noticed that people these days mix up the term service. Some expect servants when prompt courteous service is what should be expected. Service people like to serve pleasant people not rude, impatient people. Ok...off my soapbox but, be real, if snooty service is what the norm is than we missed it completely as we did not experience it. I love the pizza.brings back memories when my buds in high school would fight over the slices as we were trying to share a large between the four of us.

We will be back!!

Mmmmmmmm, Pietro's.... ughghghghghgh (insert Homer Simpson drooling noise here).

by theshmoo

I love this pizza. I guess you are always partial to "your" pizza place from when you grew up. For me and my friends it was Pietro's on West 11th in Eugene. We had Abby's, we had Papa's, and I guess there were others I didn't care to know about... but no one had that bubbly-chewy pizza crust with the crispy bottom. (Mouth is watering now... must... order... pizza)

I've moved around a bit; there was a Pietro's in Roseburg when I lived in Southern Oregon. Then I accidentally moved to Los Angeles for eight years (must have been that wrong turn at Albuquerque). No Pietro's. It was rough. There were, however, women in bikinis playing volleyball pretty much year round, so I persevered.

Now I am back; moved "home" to Oregon last year and was so happy to find that there are still a few Pietro's left.

The sauce is not as spicy as I remember... but maybe that is just me. It's been a while and I am not 17 anymore. Though you wouldn't guess that by the quality of my grammar.

Love the bubbly-chewy crust. Love the Hula-Lula - the BEST Hawaiian Pizza ever.

Wish they were closer; I am in Lake Oswego... so I actually have to put on pants and drive to pick up a pizza, rather than waiting for delivery. But it's worth the effort, even the putting-on of pants.

The staff has always been nice to me, I generally order my pizza before I leave the house and the timing is usually perfect as it is coming out of the ovens just as I arrive. Then I grab my treasured pizza and head home... it never makes it back to my place whole. I can't resist endangering pedestrians and other motorist as I scarf down at least one piece on the drive home. When I have company over I have to buy a "back-up" pizza; that way I can cheat some on the drive home - share some - and still have left-overs.

Now if you'll excuse me... I gotta make a phone call and head to Milwaukie.

Hmmm, now where did I put my pants?!

  • Pros: The Bubbly-Chewy pizza crust. The Hawaiian Pizza.
  • Cons: Pietro's is an Endangered Spieces; only three left in Oregon. Also, this review form removes your paragraph breaks when you submit. That is a huge con.

major tude!

by bbblues23

the food is ok. over priced for what it is. and let alone, we should be getting paid or getting a deal for the attitude you have to deal with when ordering from these people. i have called in orders about 3 times with in 6 months. everytime i get a person with serious attitude. sorry but its service that counts and what brings people in and keeps them there. i dont even want to order from there any more. ive given it 3 chances already. everytime the same thing but different person. is there a rude person qualification desire there or what? dont ask what the toppings are, they will snuff and huff and then run over them so fast you cant even tell what they are saying. geez! i didnt know it was so hard. and ive been in the pizza buisness for years as when younger and the restuarnt feild for my life time. this is not what service should be at any place.

  • Cons: service...by all means
