I have been a member for about eight years. The prices HAVE gone up, but it is definately worth it! The locker rooms are very nice, with a jacuzzi, steam room, and sauna. My favorite part of clubsport is the classes. My favorites are Group Kick, Group Groove, Group Power, and Zumba Fitness. The instructors are awesome and I always push myself so hard during the classes! But, I am glad to know I can work out individually, too! The people at clubsport are so nice and friendly, it's just a great environment. When I was away in Spain, I grew homesick for my home, but also for Clubsport!
Pros: classes, environment, food, rock gym, etc.
Cons: prices are not the cheapest

I have been a member for four years and watched as the prices have gone up and up and up. I appreciate the fact that ClubSport continues to upgrade and take care of its facility. I also appreciate the fact that this is the best place in town to belong if you have kids. However, the monthly dues are getting out of control. We will likely quit the club at the next rate increase.
Pros: Family/Kids Programs, Outdoor Pool, Staff
Cons: Price

The variety and energy level is great at ClubSport. Just what one needs to carry them through a workout. I have workout equipment at home, but find it easier to make it through a tough workout in the ClubSport environment. I've belonged to other clubs, they too have many people, but not in as nice of facilities or space.
Pros: Facilities, Space
Cons: Parking

Club Sport of Oregon is definately a health club to join! It is well worth the monthly dues with all that is offered. Its staff is friendly and helpful. The club is clean and very well maintained. It has thee best rock climbing wall in Oregon as well as others I have visited in California. I can use a variety of muscle groups on alternate days with the work out equipment, bike classes, yoga classes, pilates, lap swim pool, playing some "hoop" or enjoying the recreation pool in the summer! Many families are seen together by the pool in the summer. You can even "top" a day or evening off at their restaurant with appetizers, meals or your favorite beverage.
Pros: clean, great equipment, helpful staff
Cons: more Club S. clothes

The staff in the climbing gym is generally first rate, but when it comes to the rest of the staff they are like power hungry nazis. All they seem to care about is enforcing the rules for the members and not following the rules themselves. The facilities are nice and well done, but they took on their expansion to aggressively and the cost of membership increased to fast. When I was a member when it was Sport's Nation my member dues were about $30 per month (back in Nov 1996) now they are $83 per month (almost triple in 7 years times). The only reason I am still here is because it is convienient for me.
Pros: Staff in Climbing Gym, Good Hours
Cons: Too expensive, Rest of the staff

The spinning classes have all been fantastic. The majority of the instructors very motivated and fun. Some of the other exercise classes seem variable in instructor guidance or at least not very inviting for beginners. The new lockers rooms and showers are a true benefit and have encouraged my impromtu visits to the gym. The climbing wall is a definite plus.
Pros: Great Spin classes, Great equipment, Wonderful Locker room
Cons: Can get crowded
