This is the best restaurant ever! It has excellent service, extremely nice, helpful and entertaining! The food is delicious, and very FRESH! This is the place to go if you are looking for fresh cooked food, NOT frozen! Our family has been going for over 4 years now. The servers recognize you as you keep coming back, it makes you feel very welcome! Only make reservations if it is the weekend and a busy time of the day. Great place to go with family, friends, co-workers, dates and anyone else! Best restaurant ever, tons of locations, great hospitality! May be a bit spendy for some, but it is well worth it! Be ready for some fun! The lighting is perfect, and a great atmosphere!

Pros: Great, Fresh Food, Great Service, Great atmosphere

Cons: N/A, N/A, N/A

Everything is good but nothing seems to be great. Steak sizes are slightly trimmer than what I'd like and the meat quality is only good. However, they're very good with cooking it to your specification, even during busiest hours. Service is quite friendly and relaxed.

Pros: Friendly service, Decent decor

Cons: pricey

An overpriced version of Red Robin. The food is great but at a relatively high cost for the whole package. I'm not a cheapskate but not alot of value here. And please, get rid of the cheesy Austrailian catch phrases that no one uses down there anymore. The waiters continualy using phrases like "G'day Mate" and "shrimp on the barbie" just makes me cringe.

Pros: foods marginal

Cons: way to spendy, no reservations, cheesy gimickry

I've dined in a half dozen Outbacks across the continent, and they all have great service, value, ambiance, etc. What's the great mystery? My taste buds tell me that as you travel further north the meat gets less tasty! Texas was best, California and Virginia are good, but Portland has only fair steaks. Are they buying a lesser quality meat? Seems like the steaks are more grainy and gristly. Still they are very good for the price and I wil continue to eat there!!

The Outback Steaks are one of the best I've eaten in the Portland area, prices are fair and friendly service. It's a very busy place as all good resturants are so we had a bit of a wait. But the food was worth it!!!

Pros: Great food, Friendly service, Has A Bar

Cons: Crowded

I must say, Outbacks are consistant no matter where you are- typical chain. The steaks are better than average and the food is pretty good. Very much on the fatty, unhealthy side- but hey that is why is tatses good right? I would never rate it as the best or even dare to compare it to Ruth's Chris or Mortons- just not even at that calibur. But on occassion the prime rib is pretty good. Chances are if you have a table of 6, one person will be disappointed, 2 will be nuetral, 2 will like and 1 will love. Been there to many times with friends not to know that scenario. Too busy to be good service at prime times. Teenagers just aren't good under pressure.
