Beer Snobs Unite!
by WHFF
This is the place to get whatever your beer snob heart desires. The staff knows their beer and is glad to help you pick the perfect pint. I would recommend the spicy fries with a pint of Arrogant B.
- Pros: Excellent Selection of beer & Knowledgeable staff
Sad, this could have been really cool...

The building itself if just what I like. Low wood beam ceilings and a dark and cozy atomsphere, except for the pool area.
Sadly, everthing else destroys that. The ATM will charge you 3.50 even though it says 1.50. The door guy was far from cordial or nice. I had to get money for a cover charge from the ATM and the door guy sent people to check that I was getting him money...twice. And only one of the bar tenders would even ask me if I wanted anything. And they may have a lot of beers, but they were out of every Widmer ale I asked for
Maybe a different night...

Overall I liked this bar. I went to it a while back with a large group for a friends birthday. Unfortunately the night we went there was a not so good band that was way to loud. We couldn't hear each other across the table and ended up texting each other on our phones. They have a good drink selection and good atmoshpere. It is crowded but not too crowded and it had a decent happy hour.
- Pros: good food and drinks, atmosphere, service was good on a busy night
- Cons: too loud and bad band that night
Great atmosphere and entertainment!

I met my husband at the Dublin 15 years ago. It's one of the places we still go to have a great time. Everyone from 21-60 can be found there having a pint and dancing. The service has been consistently great over the past 15 years and so has the music. This is a great place to take out of town guests for dancing, pool and beer.
Well done Dublin!
- Pros: Atmosphere, beer, music, service
- Cons: Loud

I come here every Tuesday night. I sing with the group, I have a few pints. This pub really is the culmination of fantastic. Good food, fantastic service. The bartenders are helpful and courteous, and the remainder pf the staff is ALWAYS smiling. The layout is perfect, and it really is great fun to go. Especially on Tuesdays!!!
- Pros: Everything
- Cons: Small bathrooms
This is the place to go for beer!

A quick change of plans led me to Dublin Pub. After having to park in the Safeway parking lot (no biggie) I walked in the a comfy, neighborhood pub. I tried their Butte Creek Organic Ale on tap and it was great, but for my second I wanted to try something new. I went up to the bar tender and asked his advice. He brought over a couple of different shots of beer similar to the first and described to me what I was tasting. Being a girl who enjoys beer but isn't particular this was great! My friends and I spent the time catching up but I could definitely see us playing pool and throwing some darts. I would love to experience some live music there too. I will be visiting again!
WOW!!! 55 beers on Tap! Amazing Happy Hour!!! Easy to Get To!!!
by itsmeroundtree
I LOVE going to the Dublin Pub!!!! They have one of the best beer selections in the State. Their Happy Hour is the best I've ever seen. $2.75 micros every day from open(3PM) to 7. Free pool all day Sunday and Monday, every other day until 7PM. Did I mention their HUGE beer selection! Winter seasonal are coming in. Mmmm Mmmm Mmmm... Friendly and cool bartenders and Tasty! hamburgers and Reubens! Don't judge it by the outside appearance, go inside and be amazed! Try to spot all of the hidden leprochans in the place and get a free pint!
- Pros: Enormous selection, easy access from all over Portland, great Happy Hour
- Cons: Opens later in day
WORST SERVICE EVER! DOORMAN WAS RUDE AND WE WILL NEVER GO AGAIN!
by portland503
This was my first experience at the Dublin and quite frankly, everybody in my group will never go again. The Doorman was extremely rude and vulgar and should be fired. The drinks were ok but watered down. Save yourself the trip and go somewhere else unless you like feeling like an underappreciated customer.
PRO's: GREAT live music, room to dance, lots of beers on tap CONS: Smokey, often out of drink special, parking
by 1busylady
The reason I head to the Dublin time and time again? The MUSIC! A great selection of local artists with room to dance is what it's all about. I'm not a big fan of the smokey haze that blankets the place, but what can I say, the music prevails. The "beers on tap" selection is great, although I have found them to be out of the featured beer on many occasions. Whatever. There's enough of a selection that I'm happy otherwise. If you're there for a particular weekend venue, get there early, as seating is limited on Fri/Sat nights. It's standing or dancing room only otherwise. My guy friends like that they can check out the pool tables instead of being of the dance floor, so I'd say there is something for everyone. The parking lot fills early, so be prepared to search for near-by options. Oh, and one last perk, the bartenders are easy on the eyes...and who really cares about waiting for your drink when you've got something nice to look at while you wait? ; )
- Pros: Music Music Music and room to dance to said music
- Cons: smokey, parking
rockin' college hot spot
by sdtransplant
This fun bar features a wide variety of beers on tap, great local music, and a packed dance floor. Don't plan on having a conversation or breathing anything but cig smoke, though.
- Pros: bevy of beauties
- Cons: loud, smokey
