I also don't know what that complaints are about. He seems busy so good for him! He has given me prompt excellent service both times I've been there (Portland native and know good Portland service when I get it) The five pair of pants have come out perfect, worth the price always good length and good tapered leg which is hard to get right for most places. Give him a shot.

I dont know what people are complaining about!. I see reviews on here that just make me nauseous! This is an AMAZING place with some of the best costumer service out there. I don't see how people can be complaining about anything when the prices are perfect, the people are wonderful, and my entire experience there are always top notch. Whenever I need something tailored I make my way down to this shop; they are always smiling and welcoming me into their shop. The only time I see disputes is when the costumer has a bad attitude, people should not look at the bad reviews because after going there for more than 3 years now, I have noticed that The Alteration Station is a top favorite of mine!

Don't Go!!. I have brought a few things in for alterations in the past with satisfactory results but my most recent experience made me feel I should warn others. I brought in a jacket to have the collar altered and when it came back it was not as I had expected. I went back and said I felt there had been a miscommunication and was there anything to be done. He told me he would call me. When he did call, he left an aggressive message that they did everything exactly right and I was totally wrong. He did not even offer to fix it at a reduced price. When I went it pick up my jacket there was a large mark on the sleeve that I pointed out. He got very angry and said the jacket had never been out of the bag and he was not to blame. I pointed out that the jacket was indeed out of the bag and I had not taken it out. This made him even angrier and he yelled until I left the store.

Gimme a break!. I took a dress into Alteration Station to get let out a 1/2 inch on each side. Not a big order but I can't do it myself. They said it would be $80. I laughed and said "no thanks I paid $10 for the dress!".

I then went to the alteration place in NE and the lady actually measured me, told me exactly what she would be doing, and said it would be $25. Now THAT is customer service and at less than 1/2 the price.

Another Horrible Experience. I brought in a gown to be altered and instead of letting me know he was unable to perform the job adequately, as any seamster/ress would, the (presumed) owner took my money and didn't do what I asked. I took the dress home without trying it on in the shop because I was in a hurry (lesson learned!!!! will never do that again). When I returned and tried to show him what I originally requested he would not let me speak and told me to stop insulting him. I didn't know telling someone what you want was insulting. He asked me what I wanted him to do... It's YOUR job to know if you are specializing in a certain service so you need to be knowledgeable in your own trade.

I promptly took my dress to another seamstress who was very nice and said that if there was a job she was unable to do she would let me know upfront.

I don't recommend anyone go to Alteration Station EVER. It is NOT okay to argue with the customer. Have some integrity about your work and your customer service... or rather, lack thereof.

Pros: None

Cons: Customer Service

Alteration Station is the BEST!. Alteration Station at the Lloyd Center has always done an excellent job with all of my alteration needs. Salim is very friendly and provides excellent customer service. They are always able to complete everything in a reasonable amount of time and the quality is great. I would reccomend Alteration Station to everyone!

Amazing Service. I recently bought an expensive dress from cache that I needed to be altered. I took it to four shops to be altered and all of them told me that it was very complicated to do and costs $200, the last place I took it to told me that I should take it to alteration station on Broadway and if they could not alter it then it cannot be done. So I took it there and they told me that they can do it for only $140. I picked it up after three days and was very satisfied with the way the dress looked. I recommend Alteration station on Broadway for everyone!

True Costumer Service. I am a 7 year costumer of this shop, i recently witnessed dispute between the owner and a costumer. A lady brought in jeans to be patched and when she came to pick it up she was not happy with the patches so the owner gave her $7 back and removed the patch and said to her "Ma'am have a nice day" the costumer said that she doesn't deserve to be treated that way and started to complain to the other costumers in the shop and saying "i hope he treats you the same way" so i replied, "I have been coming here for 7 years and have received nothing but outstanding costumer service"

I think that this lady was out of line and rude and wrong because the owner did everything to please her and she did not appreciate any of it. before she left she threatened that she is going to post really bad reviews about this shop. throughout this dispute the owner was respectful and nice and only said "have a nice day"
