and a wonderful overall experience..thoughtful service..not a bad wait..chicken apple sausage is one of the very best I have ever tasted...the potatoes were perfectly spiced and crisp..an excellent value..three people including coffee and two additional beverages as well as full plate breakfasts and a bread all for under $40--charming decor and very very clean...perfect.
Pros: everything
Cons: not one

Typically I've thought of the Cadillac Café as a great place for breakfast, which it is, but I went there for lunch and was not disappointed. I had the Red Curry Salmon and it was delicious. The salmon was cooked to perfection and while there wasn't a lot of it, I didn't complain as the rice more than made up for the lack of fish. Afterwards, we ordered dessert and I had the Pumpkin Mousse. I love Pumpkin but even this was a bit much of a Pumpkin aftertaste even for me. My only real compliant was the service. Our waitress was pretty unfriendly, had no sense of humor, and my friend and I felt like she didn't really want to be there. When he ordered dessert, there were two choices, and he said we'd take one of each. It seemed pretty straight-forward but she just stood there with a combination of "duh" and attitude on her face. He repeated it again and she took our order. This is a pretty interesting place inside. There is a tricked out Pink Cadillac inside the restaurant. It's hard to miss and gives a Happy Days kind of feel even though the dishes, clientele, and prices are pretty sophisticated. They like their color pink, too. You'll see what I'm talking about when you go here. There is also a small little bar where you can order coffee, spirits, or soda pop. I've been here before and never noticed that before now. I also noticed quite a bit of diversity amongst the clientele, which is a welcome change from the suburbs. I will continue to go back to the Cad Café, while only hoping I don't get stuck with the same waitress. I'd mention her name here but I'd like to think that by the next time I come back she'll no longer be working there.

My wife, son and I had breakfast there, and it was wonderful. I'm into omelettes, my son's into eggs and potatoes, and my wife into healthy eats, and we all had a good time. Since it was on a weekend morning, there was a line outside. And it went pretty fast.
Pros: Good food, good help.
Cons: Jellies and preserves are imported from Southern California. Local favorite eateries such as Cadillac should buy local.

The cadillac cafe is overall ok, It is loud and the food can take a while to get to you but it is enjoyable for the most part. Mostly american just because of the cadillac and mostly america has those. Over all ok worth a shot.

The Hazlenut French Toast is out of this world!! Crowds are not bad during the week...but during the weekend this place is slammed! Rightfully so too....the menu has a wide variety of items and everything is cooked to perfection. Good service too....this is a great spot! I highly reccomend this restaurant to anyone...
Pros: Breakfast Menu is outstanding and all food is prepared exquisitely
Cons: The weeknd wait is very, very long. Show up early!!

As other reviews have indicated, the exterior does not represent what you will experience on the inside. The Cadillac itself is more of a shrine than it is a theme, but it is quickly forgotten as you absorb the aroma of coffee and delicious breakfasts passing by your table being delivered by effecient and experinced staff. An early arrival on a weekend is a must, but once seated they do not hurry you. If you have trouble with deciding on what you want off the menu, the staff will make an effort to determine what might fit your tastes. On our most recent visit, I found the omelette to be more crepe like than fluffy, but usually this means dry, but it was not. The spinach and tomato where fresh and not wlited from the preperation. The sides of red potatos was also well seasoned and a perfect compliment. Our French toast was as promised, a delight. This restaurant is most definitly a top ten in our breakfast club.
Pros: Menu, Staff
Cons: Parking

My family and I went because of the rankings here on Citysearch, and because it was nearby. We had driven past a number of times, not thinking much of the exterior. It's not bad looking from the outside, just unremarkable. Inside however, it was apparent how much care has been put into the restaraunt. We had only a 5-minute wait before we were seated, and the service was nice, polite, not stuffy. The menu selection was a bit thin, but what they had was well thought out. I had the "breakfast vittles", a sampler including sausage, potatoes, eggs and french toast. I was not focused on the french toast when I ordered it to be honest, but it immediately grabbed me in terms of presentation and taste. I didn't even need the syrup (tried it with a little anyway), it was that good. The pancakes were very good- my son ordered those. He pronounced them the best ever, but he does that a lot. They were lighter in color than most, which to me made them more appetizing. My wife had an omlette with various meats and mushrooms, which was more crepe-like than thick egg omlette. She enjoyed it a lot. For myself I found the eggs to be the weakest part of the meal, thin and a bit too wet. We will defintely be back as regulars.
Pros: excellent french toast, prompt service, good value
Cons: eggs needed a bit more time.

Don't be put off by the line out front, the food is worth the wait! Everyone knows how good the Cadillac's French toast is, but the restaurant's real gems are found in their specials, which seem to change every week or so. I had the Stroganoff Omelet recently and I can't remember a better breakfast.
Pros: Food and service
Cons: long wait

I'd heard rumors of the Cadillac Cafe for months and finally went a week or so ago. My expectations re: decor were virtually nill but when our group of three entered around 9am on a Saturday, we were taken aback. It kind of looks like a hotel restaurant in Boca Raton, FL. This is *not* a "Portland" breakfast joint so choose differently if that's what you seek. That said, the staff was kind, attentive, and responsive. The food was average, and in one case, below average. Had an omelette that just didn't thrill-- an ingredient had presumed that dreaded "fridge taste" - boo. That said, I won't return on my own accord but perhaps a different day/time/moment would bring a better experience.
Pros: Considerate staff, lots of elbow room, easy to find
Cons: Weird ambience, below average breakfast food

The Cadillac Cafe continues to offer superb service and breakfast dining. Multiple occasions with moderate sized groups (10-12) and never a let down. The hazelnut custard french toast is always marvelous!
Pros: Service, seating, ambience, food
Cons: street parking
